βI visited The Lock Up on Sunday for a roast, and it was honestly one of the best Iβve ever had! This was my third time at the restaurant, and it was by far the best experience yet. I came this time as a Coeliac and was absolutely over the moon with the gluten-free options availableβboth for mains and desserts. I was especially thrilled to have a Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese, which are such rare treats for Coeliacs. I had the beef, which was cooked perfectlyβtender and not at all chewy. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. I really appreciated the care they took. Highly recommendβespecially if you're looking for a great gluten-free Sunday roast!β
β10/10 easily. I simply cannot find a single fault with the dining experience here. Staff members were all incredibly pleasant, service was extremely nice. Food and drinks were excellent and completely out of this world, worth every penny. The atmosphere in the evening was amazing, and makes it the perfect experience all around. Definitely recommend and would return, Amelie was stellar with her service.β
βWe have been here a few times now and our favourite thing is the aubergines and the marinated anchovies. We had a botifarra sausage dish with beans but the beans were not cooked enough. The aubergines with molasses were iconic as always. The tortilla de patatas got mixed reviews (no onions or seasoned enough). The girls loved the two desserts although one of them noticed that the basque cheesecake was a New York cheesecake not a basque one - indeed. The girls also love their drinks. The atmosphere is banging and because itβs a small place it gets very cosy.β
βWe booked the private dining room at Gambas for my daughters 19th surprise birthday celebrations. The restaurant were very very helpful organising the event as my daughter has dietary requirements and we wanted the surprise element too. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely and the staff were really helpful and had great vibes! We will definitely be booked the private dining experience again at Gambas. Many thanks to everyone thereβ
βWe had accidentally booked for the wrong day and they were very accommodating considering our mistake............I will say, it was Absolutely stunning. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. It wasn't cheap but then we didn't expect it to be considering how beautiful the food was. Was lovely to actually be able to talk to the chef himself and was very approachable. Thankyou for an unforgettable experience!!! Darren and Sarahβ
βWe went today at Jars Meze and this place is amazing, is now my favorite Greek restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Canβt wait to go back and try the other dishes on the menu. I highly recommend Jars Meze βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβ
βNice little tapas place. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service. We had vegetarian tapas - very tasty!β
βvery positive experience of today's breakfast at turtle bay. The breakfast I chose was delicious. I also had the opportunity to meet the head chef, for which I am very grateful. full professionalism, overall very nice service! I recommend.β
βHad a lovely birthday lunch at Ponte Vecchio last week. We were well looked after by Tommy in particular, but all of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was all delicious, especially the scallop starter they had on special. Will definitely go back next time we're in Bath, highly recommended.β
βReally lovely little cafe. We found this place online and loved the look and the vibe. We arrived around 10am and were seated pretty much straight away. Donβt be fooled if it looks full from the front, they do have a few tables hidden around the back. The service was really quick and friendly and the food tasted very good. We had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup along with an order of poached eggs on toast with a side of avocado. The food was served fast but we didnβt feel rushed to eat and leave even once finished we were left to chat until we were ready to go. Overall Iβd say this was a great place to stop for brunch.β
βExquisite βfine diningβ experience beyond what you might expect from a typical pub!!! Great selection of beer on draft! We ate under huge canopy outside & inside the pub was full of olde world charm & character!! Friendly staff!! Will return again when in the area!β
βAmazing culinary experience, very good and attentive service from all staff (George &Izabella) , all dishes with very good flavours and very good balanced every flavour with very nice attention to details , very good atmosphere in the restaurant . One of my favourite restaurant in Cheltenham. We will back soon !β
βI went for a Christmas meal with friends. It's a lovely old pub, with a number of dining rooms. It's a bit out of the way, but worth it when you get there. I had a very tasty nut roast while others had a traditional turkey meal. The food was good and there was plenty of it.β
βHad an amazing dinner at Druidβs Arms with friends; the food was absolutely delicious and the staff made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend!β
βSet within beautiful sloping gardens and orchards with a stunning view, the restaurant serves seasonal food from the garden in a relaxed atmosphere. We had sone delicious flavour combinations, all the dishes were prepared and cooked really nicely. There's also a good range of beer, cider, wine and cocktails. Will definitely be eating here again.β
βBeautiful wedding venue! I got married here and had a wonderful outdoor ceremony, and everyone commented on how great the venue was. Great rooms for our guests too, and the staff were lovely and super helpful. Food was great! Lovely space, and I can't wait to come back for our anniversary β€οΈβ
βWe had our annual large group booking for a βChristmas pizzaβ and it was another great eveningβ¦.thank you! The pizzas were delicious and the staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!β
βDuring our stay in one of the nearby villages we were looking for somewhere nice to eat that didnβt have an early closing time. We settled on this restaurant/pub and were really impressed, the food tasted great and the staff were very friendly and efficient. It was a friday evening and the place was bustling, you can tell it is a popular establishment.β
βMy wife and I decided to visit and have the ten year tasting menu as a Xmas gift to ourselves . Weβve been 3 or 4 times and love the vibe and feel of the restaurant . The service is exceptional and you can feel the passion the staff have for the food as they explain each dish . The ten dish anniversary menu is simply gorgeous . The flavours exuding from each combination within the dishes is extraordinary. My favourites were the Parmesan truffle muffin, aged beef fillet and the Jerusalem artichoke Madagascan chocolate salted caramel , just outstanding . Fantastic food , service and great value for money .β
βFabulous tasting experience with amazing flavours and combinations Not usually a dessert person but both of them on the tasting menu were amazing A wonderful gemβ
βHad dinner with friends here, The prawn tagliatelle , octopus, and tomato salad were absolutely delicious β authentic Italian flavors done right! While the portions could be a bit more generous, the exquisite presentation made every bite special. The restaurant has an intimate (though slightly cramped) ambiance that adds to its charm. Perfect for when you want quality over quantity, though ordering multiple dishes to share might be ideal for heartier appetites.β
βChanced upon this place tonight, wasn't very busy but the menu looked very tasty. So pleased we went in. Superb food, just that bit different. Lovely fresh tasting rose. Excellent service: very knowledgeable and friendly service. Encountered some very pleasant fellow diners who also enjoyed their food and wine. A very pleasant evening!β
βWhat a gem this place is. We booked a table for our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. A front window table, and top notch service. Being Gluten Intolerant my menu had been marked specifically for my needs, and was given the utmost care and thoughtfulness. The olives to start were plump, garlicky and smokey. The food when it arrived was amazing. The ocean bream was crisp, and the samphire and saffron sauce just delicious. We literally mopped up our plates. The steak was tender, the the panne cotta and chocolate torte with poached plum just absolutely delicious. Amarelle who served us was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. What a lovely restaurant - a must visit.β
βThere are lots of good walks near Hinton Charterhouse. I would recommend that, like us, you make the Stag your pit-stop of choice. The welcome is always warm and the food is really excellent. My friend had a Cajun Chicken and prawn special, which he said was delicious. Because I know how good it is, I went for βOld faithfulβ - ham, 2 eggs and chips. It was to-die-for, as always. Home cooked ham packed with flavour, tender as you like, thick carved and plentiful; oh, and runny eggs! Itβs a sensational lunch. It wonβt be long before we find ourselves back here, Iβm sure. UPDATE - We just visited for a Sunday roast. I can honestly say itβs probably the best pub roast Iβve ever had. You certainly wonβt leave hungry. Highly recommended!β
βSuch nice and friendly people lovely food thank-youβ
βLovely place whenever we visit. Staff really friendly & attentive. Had a fabulous Ploughman's Lunch today. There was everything on the plate and more! Yummy ^_^β
βWe went for Chew Kitchenβs burger night tonight, all created, run and cooked by Morley and his wife and team ( a lovely bunch!) - and I can honestly say they were some of the best burgers weβve tried! Such a creative burger menu I havenβt seen anywhere else and cooked incredibly well with amazing flavours. Very reasonably priced as well!! Would highly recommend and I have also heard great things about the roast dinners here too! Next on our list to try!β
βJust moved the the area and had my first visit to Atlantic Fish Bar today. Fantastic all round. I got a large cod which was superb and priced as youβd expect (in 2025, anyway) & medium chips. What they call medium is a huge portion so if you donβt want a mountain of chips with your fish, try a cone. So glad to have a great quality chippy just a few minutes walk away! Thank you Altantic Fish Bar!β
βVisited a few times now and you get table service, which is gd as I hate ordering at the counter due to using crutches. Plus yr food is served quick and hot every time. Had a lovely steak meal this morning and will def be back again for one.β
βI love kebabs and have been eating them every day at different places for a month to find the best doner kebab in Bristol. And I found it - it's Simple Shawarma. 100% recommended. Tender and fresh meat, homemade sauces, and fresh-cut first-class vegetables. I would eat there every day if I had the chance!β
