Went for a family Christmas get together. Very busy which caused a relaxed service. Ok for our gathering, could be a little too relaxed for some. Some of our party felt the service lacked care. I find the arrangements for booking rather difficult and the insistence on pre ordering, done in a rather impersonal way not conducive to a warm feeling. On balance an enjoyable visit but it could have been so much better.

Lovely restaurant however the seating was uncomfortable and the food took over 40 minutes to come out. The staff were too busy laughing very loudly with each other and at one point one staff member screamed found it very unprofessional. My friend asked multiple times for assistance by saying excuse me but we were ignored as the waitress was too busy reading her what’s app messages. Very unfortunate experience especially when the prices were high we expect the service to be at the same level.

Enjoyable steak which was perfectly cooked for me, nice and pink. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The pub itself is lovely and rustic, proper cosy pub feel to it. Would have liked maybe a few extra option on the menu but the food we did have was cooked to perfection.

Good place to visit for fine food. We ordered Bull burger, Fish and Chips, Crab Focaccia, Pork Belly Bites and Mussels Starter. All of them are tasty. However, the foods come a bit late than expected.

Exquisite “fine dining” experience beyond what you might expect from a typical pub!!! Great selection of beer on draft! We ate under huge canopy outside & inside the pub was full of olde world charm & character!! Friendly staff!! Will return again when in the area!

Exquisite service, led to our table and offered drinks and menu's which came immediately quite the first impression. The waiter was friendly and very attentive, I cannot commend his service enough. Food was superb couldn't fault a thing the apple sauce with the Pork chop was unbelievably tasty and the Lamb being cooked to perfection was a real treat. Well worth a visit will definitely be returning. Many thanks

Nice spot for dinner and a cocktail in the hills of just outside Bristol. The curry chicken salad is great and the crispy pork belly is also good, though could use some more seasoning and was a bit try compared to the fattier type in the states. Strawberry, basil, gin cocktail was good. Highly recommend in the area.

We stopped halfway on our journey to Wales at The Bull. This was a pleasant place to stop for lunch after a 2 hour 30 minute drive from home. The service was good and the tractor tyre play area was perfect for the kids to have some fun before the second 2 hour 30 minute drive to our destination. We enjoyed our visit so much, one week later we did exactly the same on the return journey home.

Lovely old building, large outside garden area, great staff, lots of parking. Didn't eat there so I can't comment, but the menu looked good. The only annoying thing (and not the pub's fault) is the junction to the main road nearby. It's near impossible to pull out as it's so busy in both directions!

Great venue. Set in the countryside away from all the distractions. Lovely food- portions on the small side. Cosy log burners to keep you warm. Beware no WiFi and the network reception is very poor which is why I have given it 4 out of 5 stars. If you need that break from your phone though its a good venue.
