Went for dinner here after work, party of 5. Such a lovely Pub, and the staff are all so friendly. Great selection of beers on draft and the food was delicious. Proper pub grub and at a very reasonable price.
First visit to the newly refurbished White Lion for Sunday lunch. Same friendly staff in stylish surroundings. The food was lovely and excellent value for money. Well done Rosie and the team !
Had an amazing meal this weekend at the White Lion’s relaunch. As a vegetarian I was impressed with the range of meals available and with how quickly the food was turned around in spite of the pub being full and bustling! Great atmosphere. The new refurb has done a great job of refreshing the White Lion and we are looking forward to many more visits in the coming months. The two staff who served us were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
8 of us had a very enjoyable meal here, the staff were very helpful & friendly, the decor is clean & bright, the menu was varied & had something for everyone including things you don't normally see especially at these prices which were very low, most meals were under £15!! & very nice indeed good quality, well presented & tasty! Great food and nice feel to the pub. Grill was broken when we went so the menu was massively reduced but usually the menu is super varied and covers most things! The risotto was 10/10!
Loved our meal here, the menu is a lot better than you would expect from a chain pub. Lovely beer garden and outdoor seating. It looks out onto the field, which is really nice.
A wonderful pub that’s almost hidden away from the view of the visitor. A great atmosphere with outdoor seating and large tables for groups. Inside a great long bar with dining area serving great food. The staff are very helpful, friendly and quick serving. The chips I ordered came super quick and we’re fabulous. Look forward to returning on a Summers day to enjoy an outside pint in the sunshine.
We recently visited the restaurant for a Sunday roast and were disappointed with the poor quality of the meal. The meat was processed and the vegetables lacked flavor. To make matters worse, the dish was served cold. We were disappointed as the food was amazing in the past and it was a stark contrast to our previous experiences. The pub's food quality and service has significantly declined and is not worth the money, even at a discounted price. We are sad to see the decline in the quality of food and hope that improvements will be made in the future.
Only popped in here for cups of tea and coffee but staff were really nice. The pub had a great atmosphere and we were made very welcome .... and so was our dog! Free treats were available in the entrance foyer. The only downside was that dogs are only welcome in the bar area at 3 tables as it's quite small. Will definitely come back, without our furry friend, to try the food.
Staff were great, service was quick. A really nice pub with a good atmosphere, has 2 outdoor areas and a decently sized indoor space. Food was good, overall it cost me (pint of cider and the beef burger) around £14-15 so good value for the amount of food and quality.
