“Really cozy pub with friendly welcoming bar staff. Lovely with the log fire on after a walk through Lansdown . I can highly recommend the loaded charcuterie & cheese board as well.”

“In one of the private rooms for a 14 person event. Room was perfect, it was a Christmas meal and felt super cosy and tucked away from the rest of the pub. Decor was nice. Staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Reasonable price for the food and drink we had. Very likely to return next year! Thank you.”

“Leather and Lace hosted about 20 members of our car club on Sunday afternoon for lunch. If you haven't been here it's worth a visit for a unique experience of decor and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Most people had the Sunday roasts which were very good. The desserts and cakes are all homemade and delicious.”

“I absolutely love this pub's Sunday roasts. They are to die for. Today's chicken roast was cooked absolutely perfectly. The chicken was moist, came apart well, the seasonings are delightful and the veg to go with it still had that nice fresh veg crunch to it. Also, they have a bearded dragon so that's kinda cool.”

“Came today with my family in a large group for the breakfast with santa experience! the children absolutely loved every minute including the adults. The atmosphere was christmassy, the staff was great and food was delicious! We will definitely be making this a new family tradition as it was so magical, santa and his elf helper were so warm and welcoming they really went above and beyond to cater for our family as large group (7 children & 10 adults) they were so patient and allowed us to take lots of lovely group family photos in our invidiual families and allowed us all in the room so all parents/grandparents were able to see the joy on the children's faces! thank you harvester for a fantastic family christmas experience!! ❤️❤️”

“The food was so tasty! Staff was super friendly, funny and polite! The goat cheese with redbeet salsa is my ultimate favorite! The green olives were quite raw/fresh, we would prefer other type but these were good too. Overall amazing food and vibe, I definitely recommend!”

“A fantastic find very close to Bath centre but far away enough... I love this place, it had the local feel with a welcome that was unassuming. The beer we had was Stone Daisy, very tasty and well worth the £4.95 let’s face it it’s in the city so not bad! Food was very good and the price was very reasonable, surprisingly (and I compare pubs) fish and chips £16 in comparison to 18 - 20 so see the comparison. I had the Tagliatelle (chicken) fantastic and exactly what you would expect, the wifee, pie and raved about the mash , turns out it’s all home made so very happy £34 ish for food which we looked at the desert but will have to return. The important bits are Staff really friendly and on the ball. Dog friendly, perfect! Pub was spotless and looked great. On the whole I would recommend a fantastic find. Revisit last night, we all enjoyed the food and drinks, desert was the best thank you!”

“I had Sunday Roast here today with my daughter and her boyfriend. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Greeted by lovely staff, who looked after us really well throughout. The food was absolutely delicious, and just the right size portions. I’d say it was perfection, which is hard to improve on. We will definitely be back very soon.”

“Absolutely the best experience I've had in a curry house that I can remember. Nastalga in abundance and the most welcoming service from Al the owner of 20+ years and Thomas, a very polite soon to be school leaver. Expect a throwback in time, not your fancy posh lights white wall with no character This place doubles as a UK cafe in the morning but you wouldn't know! If you want real polite service, real local atmosphere where real working people go oh and brilliant curry, you'd be daft to miss it.”

“Found this little Inn by chance. Well presented and clean. We only had drinks and a quick snack however it was well presented and good value. We noticed that they had a special offer on a buy one get one free on all main courses which we felt was excellent value. Large beer garden which had small area of play equipment in. Friendly staff. Campsite at the back of the pub - we didn’t visit so are unable to comment on the camping area. The noise from the adjacent M5 and railway track was quite noticeable and I can imagine may upset some people.”

“We have just had a Christmas get together here and it was superb. There were 13 of us for a festive lunch. The food was delicious. The turkey and vegetables cooked to perfection. All courses were lovely and tasty. Service was amazing. Thoroughly recommend.”

“We had our first Christmas party with our new boss's & we had a lovely time waitress called Beth & she had a challenge setting our table. She was on the ball very helpful always polite full of smiles. Hats off to her we were very loud we hope she has a great time working as a waitress it's not the easiest job in the world & I'm sure there are going to be tables that are not as nice as ours. I wish her the best.”

“This place has just absolutely nailed the dining experience and is incomparable to anything else nearby. My partner and I tend to visit this place run by the former owners of the gate every week. The service is fantastic, the staff are very well trained and the service they provide fits the establishment perfectly. The atmosphere is authentic and brings a touch of class and culture on par with the dining experience. The food that is served here is leagues above any restaurant nearby; the menu adds and removes items regularly when the produce is available. I have on occasion just been enamoured with the food that much I have ordered 4 starters and 3 mains for just two of us. I would recommend the escargot (when available), oysters, el gordos seafood platter, the ribeye, prawn pil pil and the salmon fillets, but no choice there will leave you disappointed. Excellent service, staff, food, and atmosphere . Highly recommended.”

“Met up with family to celebrate our son's birthday. The waiting staff girls were really friendly. We ate fairly early (6pm). The tables were spaced far enough apart to make it seem intimate. Lovely atmosphere in The Crown and the food was delicious and nicely presented. Good choice of beers.”
