“Came here for bottomless brunch and had such a great experience! The brown stew chicken was absolutely delicious, and we loved it so much we had to order extra servings of festival—they were divine. The flavors were authentic and reminded us of home. Big shout out to our wonderful server Jenna, who kept the cocktails flowing and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait for our next visit!”

“Oh my goodness this place is AMAZING! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are so nice, the food... Portions are big but not too big, the sides are delectable and the brisket and flat iron steak? *Chefs kiss* The brisket melts in your mouth, with a perfect peppery crust, the flat iron was just the right amount of chew and the flavours were so good, I ended up doing my happy dance! The gravy with the brisket upgrade was beautiful. I think we encountered paradise with this meal. We went in because we were hungry and hadn't eaten properly since we got to the area yesterday, and we are SO glad we did. Thank you so much for existing and making my partner's birthday a bit more special than we expected.”

“We arrived around 1230 on a Saturday having walked from a local village. Although we were the only customers the greeting was super friendly and the service was brilliant. The food was delicious, especially the home made soup. Definitely going back, and this will become the new half way point. Having visited other pubs in Castle Donington this is one of the best by far. Dog friendly in the bar and outside Great food Great welcome Worth a visit”

“What can I say, I love a good steak and you can definitely find one here! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour fillet steak. If you’re a carnivore like me then I’m sure you will enjoy every bite. I loved the fact they bring you a tray of different knives to pick from, nice touch. Really great service as well, super pleasant and welcoming. Will be back again. Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely outstanding carvery, every meat for a Sunday roast available including lamb, A choice of medium beef or well done beef, Pork and great crackling, gammon, turkey! All veg fresh, banging roasties and creamy mash! Not forgetting the crispy stuffing balls and immense Yorkshire puddings....infact, the best yorkies I've ever had!! Will definitely be returning!”

On this particular visit, my companion and I confined ourselves to the pub side of the venue, abstaining from the culinary offerings on this occasion. Thus, I cannot speak to the merits of the kitchen, though the aromas drifting gently from within suggested craftsmanship of the promising sort. Nevertheless, the pub area alone proved thoroughly satisfying. The décor is warm without feeling cluttered, modern without surrendering its traditional charm. Soft lighting and thoughtful furnishings lend the space a cultivated ambience that invites one to linger. The staff, for their part, carried out their duties with a quiet efficiency and a courteous manner befitting the surroundings. Our beverages were served promptly and presented with care, providing exactly the sort of easy comfort one seeks in an afternoon respite. Though our sojourn was brief, the establishment left a favourable impression — one of polished hospitality and a mature sense of place. In summary, while we did not partake in the food on this visit, The Wollaton Pub & Kitchen nonetheless stands as a most commendable location for those desiring a refined and leisurely drink in dignified surroundings. It shall no doubt warrant a return visit, perhaps next time to acquaint ourselves properly with the kitchen’s offerings.”

“Had a spot of light lunch and a few drinks (non alcoholic) whilst waiting for my car to be serviced at the nearby Volkswagen garage. It's set on the main road but has a lovely outdoor area as well as plenty of space inside. Was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on a Monday lunchtime! The staff are absolutely lovely and very polite / attentive. Really clean environment - including the toilets which were spotless. The food was really fresh, incredibly tasty and good value. It's a greene king so you know that the drinks are going to be cheap but they were still nice. Overall I was really satisfied with the experience and I look forward to coming back and trying some more of the menu.”

“I visited last night with my husband. We didn’t have a table booked however the staff was very accommodating and quick to get us seated. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the fillet which was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed. The service was a 10/10 and would recommend this place to anyone! I didn’t get all the names of the staff however one lady who served us was named Amy and she is a credit to the widecombe fair. Thank you for making our visit a pleasant one and we will definitely be back in future.”

I think it's important for Greene King to recognise what a quality Barmaid they have in Emma, she couldn't do enough to accommodate me. Really impressed. Had a couple of drinks and ended up having a bite to eat, absolutely no complaints with the food. Was an unplanned stop but defo encouraged a return. Nice one Emma, you made the visit!”

“Not visited for a while but enjoyed our meal although the accompanying veg/potatoes with the salmon were a little oily. My husband enjoyed his steak and the chips were dry and crisp. Evie our waitress was cheerful and friendly and efficient checking we had everything we required. Good value for money.”

They accommodated us perfectly, ensuring we was okay, giving us our food just in time and helping when we needed it.
