The brown stew chicken was absolutely delicious, and we loved it so much we had to order extra servings of festival—they were divine. The flavors were authentic and reminded us of home. Big shout out to our wonderful server Jenna, who kept the cocktails flowing and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait for our next visit!”

“Lovely little micropub with a few kegs on tap and cask too! Well kept beer as far as I can tell. Nice local atmosphere and decor, I like that they have lots of traditional ales along with the usual craft stuff. It's all table service and the staff are friendly, for what it is the beer is also very well priced. Menu is now via a qr code. Pleased to call it my local.”

    Pitcher & Piano Nottingham

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Open

“History, Hues, and Hospitality: Sunday Lunch at Pitcher and Piano Nottingham Our Sunday lunch reservation at The Pitcher and Piano in Nottingham was an absolutely memorable experience, thanks primarily to its stunning and unique setting. Housed within the magnificent High Pavement Unitarian Chapel, this Grade II listed building—originally constructed in 1876—is far more than just a restaurant; it’s a living piece of Nottingham history. The architecture alone is worth the visit. It's truly breathtaking to dine beneath the soaring ceilings and surrounded by the retained grandeur of the former chapel. The conversion, which happened in 1998, brilliantly preserved key elements, giving the space an atmosphere that is simultaneously historic and modern. It makes for one of the most visually interesting and vibrant dining environments you could find in the city, perfectly blending its past as a place of worship and a lace museum with its present as a popular social hub. For a fun, tangible souvenir, we took advantage of the on-site photo booth. It’s a great way to remember your visit, costing £5 for four physical prints and including a digital download of your photos, making the unique backdrop part of your memory. Making the online reservation was smooth and efficient, and upon arrival, we were treated to excellent hospitality. Our experience was made particularly wonderful by Jess, who waited on us. Jess was attentive, professional, and added a warm, friendly touch to our meal, ensuring everything was perfectly taken care of. Great service combined with great surroundings elevates a simple lunch into an occasion. Overall, The Pitcher and Piano offers a truly unique destination for food and drinks. If you’re looking for delicious dining in a jaw-dropping location, this venue delivers on both history and quality service. Highly recommended!”

“Lovely friendly greeting on arrival. Room very tastefully done. Good size comfy bed. I prefer the thiner quilt which was on as normally too hot in bed. Slept very well. I think they have banished the sensor light as we never encountered it. Slept like a log. Fridge in room with water, large orange juice and fresh milk . We had drinks in the very cosy bar that evening. Will be fabulous at Christmas time in sure. Bar staff amazing, very chatty and helpful and great choice drinks. We ate in the bar as restaurant was empty. It was a Tuesday night so not usually a busy time. We both thoroughly enjoyed our plates and i complemented the chef as been a while since ive had such good food anywhere. We scoffed the lot. Breakfast is continental and you do collect it the night before but we preferred this as could chill in bed all morning and eat at our leisure. We had 6 different types of danish pastries, croissants and choice of jam . Cereals, yogurt and bananas. Missed toast but i can live with that. Tea n coffee in room. Bed n breakfast for 1 night was a bargain at under £100 and thoroughly worth it. Will be coming again soon . Caroline and Matt Xx”

“Went to Brewdog on Saturday 18/10/25 for their 2hr ‘Beer School’ event. There were 8 of us ‘in class’ which is run at a large table in the main bar area. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our ‘teacher’ was Cameron who really knew his stuff about Brewdog and the 5 types of Brewdog beers we sampled from light to dark. The pairings with the specially selected cheese and crackers were absolutely genius! Cameron was happy to take any questions as we talked through each sample and we had a lot of laughs at the same time. I definitely know now a whole lot more about beer than when I arrived!! Thank you Cameron I will definitely be attending again!!”

    The Alchemist Nottingham

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“Creative Cocktails and Grand Atmosphere at The Alchemist Rating: 5/5 Stars We popped into The Alchemist King Street for a pre-dinner cocktail and were thoroughly impressed. The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.”

    Lace Market Hotel Nottingham

“We had a fantastic experience enjoying afternoon tea at Lace Market. Everything was freshly made in-house, which really stood out compared to many places that use store-bought items. The scones were a real highlight—freshly baked and served warm, just as they should be. The service was excellent too, friendly and attentive throughout. A special mention goes to Chef Cristina, who took the time to speak with us and made the experience feel even more personal. Our only feedback would be that in the future it would be wonderful if a savory afternoon tea option was also available. Overall, though, it was an exceptional experience and one we’d be very happy to recommend.”

“Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant.. one person on our table has a severe allergy to nuts, and the staff were amazing. They called her before hand to ensure she had a meal that was “safe”. We also had a gluten free and vegetarian in our party and the staff where happy to stand and to though the menu with us. Thought out the night they kept coming to check on us, answering questioned we had regarding food and drink. - Food was lovely and the music was right up our street. Lillian is an asset to bistro live. Although she was working she just matched the vibe of our table, even coming over at the end of her shift to say good bye and told me to enjoy my night…”
