“We had an amazing night at Boom Battle Bar in Plymouth! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—great music, lively energy, and such a fun vibe. There’s a brilliant range of games to choose from; we tried axe throwing, beer pong, and shuffleboard, and honestly, each one brought a different kind of excitement. Everything was well-organized, and the staff were super helpful in explaining the rules and keeping things running smoothly. A special shoutout goes to Hannah, who truly made our evening unforgettable. She was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and attentive throughout the night. Whether it was helping us get started with the games or keeping our drinks topped up, she went above and beyond. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely enthusiastic and dedicated to great service—she really brought an extra spark to the experience. The drinks menu was also great, with a good mix of cocktails, beers, and fun options like slushies. Prices were reasonable for a venue offering such a unique night out. All in all, Boom Battle Bar is a fantastic place for groups, parties, or even date nights. We’ll definitely be back soon—and hope to see Hannah again too!”

“Even though we booked last minute the service was incredible. Thank you to Lucy Stevie Adelina Grace for amazing vip service all night, our first night out in such a long time and it was the best time at Fever. Love the kind and exciting vibes from bar staff especially Torin, everyone is so kind !! RECOMMEND 100% the safest and best night ever. Thank you also to the Bouncers for being really kind and welcoming at the door and making us feel especially safe. Everyone at fever is just simply amazing.”

She was happy to move our table as we mentioned we were going for tapas so may need a bigger table, and she helped us move our drinks etc. Nisha was fantastic sorting our payment for us with us taking advantage of the app perks and gift vouchers. “Excellent, very tasty and filling Sunday lunch. Three of us and we each had something different: for starters, Caprese salad, Arancini with beef n Ragu, Arancini with mozzarella, and truffle. Then different mains: lamb, chicken, and roast beef. We each commented on the taste, with hickory which made it very pleasant but it was all cooked v well, esp the meat and the roast potatoes, I felt. Excellent latte coffees to finish, too. (We were too full for dessert!) We had a window table so very light, which was good. The service was very good, patient and informative when asked. The ambience was relaxed and chatty - bistro type pub? Toilets were modern n v clean too. Would definitely recommend.”

“Absolutely loved our recent visit to Rise and Grind Plymouth! The pistachio iced latte was delicious — smooth, creamy, and full of flavour. The views were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot to relax. Best of all, it was such a lovely and quiet location — a peaceful little gem on the Barbican. Can’t wait to come back!”

“My daughter & her fiancé had their engagement party at The Custom House. Beautiful venue , fabulous location, right on the Barbican . Large function room with bar. The staff are very helpful & friendly. A massive thank you , in particular to Levi , who goes above & beyond. He accommodated all of our requests, to see the venue , when we could go in , as we put up decorations etc etc . He was there on the night (& the next morning ) , to make sure everything went perfectly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue.”

“Greeted by very happy and charming staff member, Lewis, which makes a good start. We were able to sit anywhere we wanted and picked the half booth corner table. Lovely choice of drinks and we had an 'Hub Colada' and a Seaside Sling. We both had the dirty dicso burger but we came here because my partner was able to have a proper GF burger as opposed to some "burger" places that just remove the bun and call it GF. Along with a side of "Mother Clucker Fries" - Skin-on fries with buttermilk-fried chicken, cheese sauce, sour cream, Korean BBQ sauce and coriander Couldn't have made it any better. Compliments to the staff and chefs”

“Day trip to Plymouth with family and our 4 legged friend. Found this little gem. Just stopped for a drink but ended up staying most of the afternoon. Initially sat outside as there were patio heaters which kept us warm. Then moved inside. Received a very warm welcome and dog friendly was a bonus. Stopped for Sunday dinner.....absolutely brilliant and worth every penny. Tv was on but still able to chat. Highly recommend this place”

“Nice clean and hotel quiet hotel room. Very helpful and friendly staff, would be nice if the hotel management put a tip jar for the bar staff etc, paid £104 for the night booked directly, could have paid £90 if booked through a website, would have been nice to pay the lower rate as I was booking direct so no middle men etc. All in all a great hotel and well located with decent staff and customer service, will certainly visit again.”

“Lovely food and portion sizes are great. We loved it. We had booked for the titanic murder mystery but it was cancelled. In compensation they offered our party a free 2 course meal. We expected the food to be free and pay for the drinks, however they comped those too! We appreciated that so much and were completely blown away. Amazing staff and fantastic service!”

“Great bowling alley, Variety of balls and the screens for setting up the game are great and never had any issues with them. We love being able to take a photo to put up on the big screens. I reccomend checking the website for the deals they have on throughout the week and booking online before hand as sometimes it can get quite busy. The food is great for the atmosphere, reasonably priced and taste good . The pizzas are ideal if your in a group and is included in one of the deals online for bowling. The drinks are reasonably priced great variety. The arcade is great lots of coin and ticket producing games to choose from. Great for all ages and the prizes are great aswell. The staff make tenpin even better they are freindly and happy to help and always smiling when serving customers helping with issues commonly for us prizes getting stuck in the machines We havnt tried the karaoke or laser tag but would definitely be up to it one day as sure it will be a good time out! Definitely reccomend tenpin”

“Me and my friends did a bottomless brunch here. Despite us being a bit late our waitress Billie was very helpful in making sure we made the most out of our time. Billie was very helpful by telling us about the drinks and making sure my friend with a milk allergy could have the meal she wanted. Amazing customer service and the bottomless brunch was a brilliant deal.”

“First time experience. 2 different courses we did the temple one. Small arcade upstairs with seating for food and a drink also. We did the family pass 34 quid for 2 adults, 2 kids. The courses seem pretty new and everything is clean and tidy. If your looking for something to waste couple of hrs this was pretty good would recommend.”

“Great service, great Food our waitress Jess was really helpful making sure we had everything we needed. My little girl was overwhelmed and very upset Jess noticed this and brought over some drawing bits and asked if she could help in anyway. Which was really thoughtful and kind, she is a real asset to the Toby team.”

“Delicious meal. Cheap midweek menu. £6 a meal Mon-Fri 12-6pm. Love the fact the calories are next to the meal on the menu. Didn't have to wait too long. Only criticism is when you arrive and are seated it would be nice to be told what's not on the menu that day instead of waiting until you've decided what you want then telling you and you have to rethink your meal choice under pressure.”

“Had a lovely afternoon visit today, ordered all 3 courses and can't say a bad thing about any dish that we received. We was advised of waiting times and asked about any allergies when entering by Paul who also revisited to make sure everything was OK with our time there. My son has coeliac disease and Melanie took our order and made us feel there was definitely no worries about us dining there. Timings between ordering and receiving our food was just about right. The severs were all very pleasant and polite and made sure everything was just as we ordered.”

“Went in for a drink as I had helped my son move house. An excellent local pub very friendly locals. The bar owner was great. A superb local bar. Update Sunday 28th September 25 lunchtime. It has been done up since my last visit. Still great.”
