“An absolutely fantastic place to eat - the daisy shaped scones are large, fluffy, and delicious and the sandwiches are proper 'doorsteps'. Ever so slightly off of the High Street but all the better for that and well worth the 30 second walk up the hill!”
“Great little cafe, relaxed, friendly and comfortable. Delicious breakfast and the coffee is amazing.”
“Nothing short of amazing! We had 2 spiced up pepperoni pizzas, fresh ingredients and super tasty! They mentioned they also have an extended menu, definitely considering to return for more!”
“Love this place. The employees are always very bright and cooperative, there is a wide variety to choose from and they even have special teas for events (I always enjoy when they include sparkles in their special teas). Coming here is the highlight of my day!”
“Wow, such amazing bagels at this place. Probably the best gluten-free bagel I've ever had. I was especially impressed as it looked and tasted like they baked the gf bagel themselves?? I had the smoked salmon cream cheese bagel and it was actually delish. The staff were super friendly too. Would definitely recommend.”
“The best fried breakfast ive had in Devon, ever. Not too much, not too little, well priced for good quality ingredients. Staff are super friendly, the views are incredible.”
“The food was very good, very nice people serving us,the atmosphere was very nice and cozy.”
“I went here for a coffee and breakfast and boy was it delicious food, of course it was. There is somewhat a warming atmosphere in the cafe area, it is a motorcycle themed cafe but don't let that put you off. Toilets are clean, staff are friendly too. Parking is not brilliant, but certainly if your on foot and walking your four legged friend do pop in and enjoy a light refreshment or two.. This Pit stop Cafe has now closed and has relocated to Langage business park ,1 Eagle Road Plympton.”
“Absolutely fantastic. This year's Dick Whittington, was full of laughter, so much audience participation and brilliant cast.”
“The staff in the salty dog were extremely friendly and attentive! The food was delicious, we ordered takeaway which was prepared quickly - we had sausage baps and a BLT, which were amazing! Would also recommend the brownie and millionaires shortbread!”
“Such a great cafe! The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I always have a delicious beautifully cooked slimming way breakfast which is one of many options available. Well worth a visit”
“My favorite coffee place in Plymouth. Great coffee and great lunch selection. Many tasty and healthy options, both sweet and savoury. They have had just the right thing I was looking on the menu every time so far. Good portion sizes and good value for money, in my opinion. The seating options are good, there's table that are great for getting a little work done and tables that are great for relaxing. Friendly staff too! I don't think I could want much more from a coffee shop.”
“Tom was brilliant, the reason we came back. Its a great atmosphere, but what separates north street bar is the customer service. Tom was brilliant and a true asset to the business.”
“WOW! the food is to die for! The food quality and flavours you would expect to pay top dollar for but it is at reasonable prices. This is top quality food coupled with great service and a friendly warm welcoming atmosphere. We will be back very soon!!!”
“Been coming here for a breakfast at least once a year as part of the holiday treat. Normally by boat but due to weather decided to drive there. Easy parking and always a warm welcome from the staff. I thought the view was not going to be as good as we eat inside. However I was wrong. Front row seats to a great vista. The inside was decorated with a sea theme and was really unique and cool. Food and drinks were great and good value for money. Love coming here and will be back again next year. Many thanks.”
“We arrived as they were closing, but they re-opened the kitchen for us...a group of 6. Fantastic friendly staff, delicious food. My Boy said it was amongst the best burgers he'd ever had! My Wife's Ploughman's was enormous, to which my Mum finished off, after only really wanting a small meal herself, but couldn't resist on the tempting Ploughman's. My All Day Breakfast was also cracking! We all left full up & completely satisfied. No idea about the Rooms”
“Recently made our third visit to Island View Cafe since new owners took offer. The food is lovely, can recommend the beef and crab open sandwiches, the scones and cakes! A lovely place to have lunch and enjoy the view. Thank you for the prompt and polite table service. We will be back soon.”
“Elvira’s Café is one of those places that just makes you feel good the moment you walk in. It has such a welcoming, homely vibe and the staff are always smiling and happy to see you. You can tell they care about what they do and that really comes through in the food and the service. The menu has a lovely mix of fresh, tasty options and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The coffee is great, and the cakes are something special. It’s the kind of place where you stop in for a quick bite and end up staying longer than you planned because it’s just that cosy and relaxed. It’s clear why people keep coming back. Whether you’re local or just visiting Plymouth, Elvira’s is well worth a stop.”

“Very highly recommend the themed afternoon teas! Absolutely gorgeous fresh food and cakes that were delicious, far too much for us to eat so had to bring boxes home! Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere! Extremely good value for money, honestly one of the best afternoon teas I have had! Thank you so much for making my nieces birthday so special!”

“Second visit to Harbour House Kitchen and the sunny garden . This time for coffee and a generous slice of the most superb freshly made Rhubarb Frangipani . Both were perfection . (When last there I enjoyed lunch of fabulous soup and wholesome seeded bread ) This simple wee restaurant is a gem tucked away from the main hustle of Kingsbridge where Helen and her team offer delicious freshly made food . Everything chosen is of the highest quality. Don’t pass it by or you will be missing something special ! Thank you Helen for making the sort of food I love to eat but is rarely found Ruth”
“Lovely cream teas and excellent service. Topped the cream and jam up and offered to top up tea pot with hot water. Lovely fresh scones, will visit again when in the area.”
“Grand son trying the free comic making workshops”
“The Geo pool is so warm! Walk in a bath. It was a quiet area where you could just lie on your back and float in the salt water, looking up at the sky. Perfect. We could have been anywhere in the world. The sauna was good with a hide away corner. Changing places and lockers in there. Booked in on arrival.”
“We love visiting the cafe with our foster children. Delicious hearty food that fills them up, great coffee and always service with a welcoming smile. Our younger ones love the play room and everyone loves popping out to see Charlotte the Pig and all of the other animals.”
