We came here to escape the rain and it was perfect bc I was also craving mussels! We both order mussels and shared lemon garlic butter scallops which were definitely over cooked but over all everything was good. The broth or the mussels was quite heavy with the cream and towards the end I felt like I had drank a whole cup of heavy cream which made my tummy bubbly..

Primarily a fish restaurant with their own boat so do a catch of the day. Very well cooked fish, in our case mackeral and pollock. Good selection of starters. Excellent service. Great view right on the waterfront so you can see the boats coming in and out and wcross the channel.

Delicious fresh fish dishes and gorgeous scallops from the scallop shack. Make sure you book on the boat tour beforehand to get a discount on your meal.

Waited long time to get our order taken. Got wrong drinks and waited for a juice about 10min. Not even one time anybody came to ask how is food. Food is not the best and very expensive. Service is very poor. I had half rack of ribs which was 26£. Very small plate for the price. My partner got burger. I would not pay 18£ for this. Looks worse than fast food. Children’s fish and chips was very dry.

This is the second time we've been and the food is just as good as last year's! The staff were so chatty and knowledgeable of the menu. We got chatting to one of them about the different guns. The fish was lovely and fresh. Very generous portions. We came thinking we'd order more but didn't need to.

Service is as good as the food. Hospitality starts at the door. Attendance is very quick and sweet. Food is clean and impeccable and they are dog friendly, with George our bulldog been fed a bowl of water as soon as we sat down. With picturesque views, a very romantic stop with your loved one. Good beer (real ale) selection amongst others. Can’t rave enough. Staff are very well trained.

Had the most delicious meal within this fine establishment, some of the freshest fish and flavourful chips you'll ever have myself had the delicious scampi and it was simply divine, kudos to the Boathouse's wonderful and accommodating staff for helping make our stay a wonderfully pleasant one! Would highly recommend checking this place out the Menu has something for everyone on it.

Having looked round at all the food options on the barbican this one seemed most authentic and best value. Sitting in the sun enjoying scallops and calamari doesn't get much better! Nice to see this area being used by local fishermen and families. Will definitely return here.
