“Absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend. Wonderful team, perfect surroundings, fabulous evening. Great food, service and atmosphere.”
“Staff Brilliant, location easy to find, fantastic service and excellent customer service from a friendly welcoming team. Toilets are what feels like in another building but up a few stairs! Unfortunately they can’t make a cosmopolitan cocktail….. only what’s on the menu…. Enjoy”
“Lovely friendly cosy micro pub with small beer garden and often music on. They staff are wonderful. The atmosphere changed from day to day by but always good.”
“Visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday celebration. Only found out about the place online the day before. How have we not been here before? This is a little gem of a restaurant. Although fairly small, and quiet when we arrived late afternoon, the restaurant had a nice feel from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent all the way through even as it got busier, and all our questions about the menu were answered by the manager who obviously took great pride in the restaurant. The food was excellent as we shared 5 tapas between 2 of us, which was more than enough, although we were tempted by dessert. The selection of wines was good, and the Spanish beers were interesting and varied. Overall an excellent meal, and good value when taking into account drinks as well. We’ll be back.”
“Lovely afternoon meeting up with friends, Sam S was incredible "Mr" with the help of Callum. Thank you great service even though they were very busy”
“We didn't eat hence the 3 stars for that. Otherwise this is a lovely pub that offers a great deal more inside than outside appearances suggest. We had a couple of very good real ales, enjoyed some entertaining chat with locals and band members and were rather pleased woth ourselves for taking the time to visit. Highly recommend this place.”
“Best place for a pint in Mickleover. My 1 small moan, the bottled beers could be colder in the hot weather.”
“Cracking joint this place let me tell ya pal! Its abit of an all rounder if im honest with ya. Its got a bar/cafe that always seems to be rammed with folk either sampling one of the quads finest or having a natter over a cuppa. Plenty of snack and food options available also. Its next door to the register office and have seen couples married having celebratory pints and also wakes taken place here! Upstairs they have a number of screens showing all kinds of films it really is a unique place. Gotta love the quad, keep up the good work you quadsters!”
“I always have had a positive feeling when I'm here I feel it's one of the safest place I can come to for a night out and always leave very happy”
“Went to here on our first date 11/12/2009 Lovely pub and nice staff. Was hoping to go back to night but it's sure a shame the pubs are closed due to covid..”
“Watched Mine Craft and now Lilo and Stitch (real life) with the kids and loved it! The venue was clean and the staff were friendly. The cinema is huge with plenty to offer. There's a bar which I assume, is open in the evening, again adding to the experience. The seats are comfy and there's a bit of movement on the back suggesting a slight recline. We bring our own drinks and snacks as I simply can't justify the prices they charge at any cinema.”
“Great pub in the city center. Got both indoor and outdoor seating. Good variety of beer available and they also do a meal service other than just pub food. Drinks can be walk-in but if you are going for food, a reservation is recommended. Staff is friendly and fast which is always good to see. Ideal if you are looking for a pub without leaving the city center.”
“Our lovely local, great selection of beers. Very friendly staff and great service. Whilst I stick to the beer I know, Lorna of other beers on and a good rotation”
“The women staff member was really nice and respectful i ordered a pizza it came very fast and very nice everything was very hygienic i am gonna visit them again I really enjoyed it here”
“Great service, very quick and good atmosphere. Fresh brew coffee amazing.”
“Lovely staff members great night”
“Has a great time watching the football with the missus in our private booth. No extra charge, staff were friendly and accomadating, the drinks fair price and really enjoyed our food. Which we asked to split as we wete sharing, not a problem our food came in two bowls and was well.presented, well worth going in if ever in derby, we will certainly pop in again.”
“Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. We will most definitely be back!”
“Absolutely fantastic place service and staff. Can’t fault the food the drinks the politeness and customer service… First class must visit great price as well.. Thank you…”
“A popular real ale pub with friendly and welcoming staff. A great range of beers including those from the Derby Brewing Company. We also had some of their burgers, which were very tasty and pretty good value. It's also very conveniently located near the city centre”
“The team are a dedicated caring slightly crazy a lot of people, and that just makes the whole visit a bit more special and the food is always typically excellent Gabrielle Great server and the chef Karl made a great meal”
“lovely friendly family pub brilliant staff and land lady and partner”
“We were gifted a cocktail and tapas food experience here, it was a proper faff to book, although it wasnt Revs de Cuba's fault at all, but we got there in the end. The food, cocktails and the server (Christie?) were all great. We had a zombie and a blue lagoon and for food: Albondigas, Spiced Black Beans, Patatas Bravas, Tortillas and Cajun Creamed Mushrooms. To be honest I wasnt expecting a lot but we enjoyed it all, and we were'nt rushed. Another one to try again”
“Honestly great, you don’t expect it to be as fun as it is! If you get one of the deals it can be really cheap too! Really good bit of fun to do in winter when it’s cold and dark inside. The bowling’s great and definitely the best value but they also have escape rooms, karaoke and laser tag I’m pretty sure.”
“Good burgers and good booze. Took a long time to be served although the place was empty, seemed to only have one person on the bar. Bonus for having wireless charging points on thee table though!”
“A nice hotel in the centre of Derby. Rooms were comfortable, especially the executive ones. The buffet breakfast was tasty and the choice was good. The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Every one of them were helpful, supportive and went about their jobs with a smile. On check in we had an issue with the allocated room and they swapped it with no fuss or bother. Fantastic service from start to finish. Thank you for a great stay.”
“Amazing place especially on Fridays when its half price. I can get six pints and good quality meal and pudding for just below £ 20. Food is top notch.”
“Nice place, a lot of students. If you’re foreign (exchange student from somewhere) just ask at door and they will let you pay 1£”
“Called in Wednesday evening for a drink and ended playing bingo and joining the live auction once again. An enjoyable evening. The bar service provided by Amber and Sam was excellent, they are both a credit to the owner who was on holiday. I will definitely call in again it was a nice atmosphere and the customers were friendly. But the staff made the evening for me.”
“I've been put off from ordering due to negative reviews for some time but tonight thought I'd just give it a go So I'm specifically looking for freshly grilled chicken and lamb on the skewer over a flame grill. Something I used to get at TJs in Leicester many moons ago. The key elements for me is never old meat sitting in a bain Marie and the option for grilled onions and peppers. So here's what you get. The most succulent, delicious and perfectly barbecued chicken and lamb straight off the skewer. Perfectly marinated and cooked fresh. The option of grilled peppers and onions and absolutely incredibly delicious barbecued mushrooms for just only £2 extra. The naan bread was soft and delicious and perfectly crisp on the outside. Generous portion of salad and delicious. Slightly crispy but perfectly pickled peppers. Food arrived. Piping hot and can only wait at 10 out of 10. This is by far my new favourite kebab place in Derby. We will be ordering again!”
