Great local place with a very inclusive feel. Lots of Art films and ones that are hard to find. You can buy gift vouchers and memberships for gifts. Really pleased to see Palestinian films in the current racist climate. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are sofas and a range of different chairs in some of the smaller screens which is very cosy. There's a nice cafe, and various activities. Good independent place to support where chains dominate the market. Thanks QUAD

Not sure when they started getting security, but will admit i do feel a lot more comfortable knowing he’s there looking out for us, just wish he was there everyday Other than that, great place and great drinks. A couple of the staff don’t seem to care and seem a little pretentious/they think they’re above making coffee but I guess that’s one of those things Film selection isn’t amazing, really need to start asking the community what they’d want to see

Cracking joint this place let me tell ya pal! Its abit of an all rounder if im honest with ya. Its got a bar/cafe that always seems to be rammed with folk either sampling one of the quads finest or having a natter over a cuppa. Plenty of snack and food options available also. Its next door to the register office and have seen couples married having celebratory pints and also wakes taken place here! Upstairs they have a number of screens showing all kinds of films it really is a unique place. Gotta love the quad, keep up the good work you quadsters!

I have, for many years, been a regular patron the Derby Quad and regard it as an important ingredient the city's cultural offer. I use the cafΓ© and have recently attended two film presentations. I have observed what appears to be a less than optimal service. During showing of a film in the "Box" loud laughter and talking could be heard coming from the foyer area outside the "Box" during the emotional, quite moments of the movie, quite spoiling the atmosphere. During a film presentation the John Hurt Cinema the house lights were left on for the first twenty minutes of the film and then flashed on an off later during the movie. These are elementary matters that affected our experience attending the Quad.

I really like Derby Quad. It's a smaller venue with smaller theatres with comfortable seats and has a more personal and less corporate feel. Bar serves good range of beverages including hot and cold drinks and snacks. My first choice for a movie night.

Nice place to visit. They have a coffee shop as well.

Got an idea of a drink you would like to try but don't see it ask as I did and will try to help make it. What I ate was good to eh so good service in the cafe everywhere else cant say yet. Good times.

I really enjoy going to the Derby Quad, it is a gem in the centre of Derby city. It’s a fantastic venue for seeing movies, they always have an interesting and new selection of films, especially art house and foreign cinema but mainstream as well. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, especially a nice bloke named John who often takes my tickets and directs us to the correct cinema room and has always been very attentive to me and my companions. They allow you to get drinks and food at the bar to take in (alcoholic or soft drinks and good coffee all available) and John will happily look after your drinks or food if you need to use the facilities before going to the cinema or whatever you need.

Myself and family went to the cafe Sunday Memorial Day. I am sorry to say that this cafe was a complete shambles. We were probably 3rd in the queue and it was a catastrophe ok coffee machine broke, I asked for two teas three hot chocolates three bits off this cake that was not nice at all hot chocolate stone cold and to top it tge girl charged me twice then I had to go back asking for a refund. The staff all kids had no clue what they were doing like a woman behind me said we could have gone round counter and made it quicker with a kettle from the kitchen suffice to say I will never visit this place again

Simply a great cafe, cinema and performance space. It's not the cheapest but the atmosphere and views across the market place, even in inclement weather, plus the vibe, make up for it. It's licensed as well. Cafe has vegan/GF options. Cinema has 3 screens showing the latest movies (usually the more arthouse variety) to some really obscure films... If I'm honest I wasn't a fan of the architecture when it was built (the outside looks like a drunken Rubiks Cube) but over the years it's vibe and quirky nature have grown on me. Enjoy. M
