It was pretty quiet when I joined my mate for a pre curry beer. Very pleasant though!

A pub that was also on list to visit from our time in the RN 1980's. Nice large outdoor seating area where you can just sit watching the world go by. Good selection of alcoholic dtinks and bar snacks plus hot food including Sunday dinners.

Although not totally my kind of location, I came for 2 visits in 2 weeks visiting family and have to say that I enjoyed my time there m 2nd time was to see a music act I watch each visit to Plymouth, as been seeing them in another bar for a few years now and was great to see them. Bar staff on the Sunday for music was brilliantly running it all on her own and was busy the whole time........ So credit to her for that as was good to watch her too as she was great! I have 5 stars for the food because I went and looked at a dudes Sunday lunch and it looked epic!

Was looking forward to coming here for a roast but was waiting 1hour and 20minutes for just two roast that was also booked, the guy even came over at about an hour and said can I get your name and order again! And when our food finally arrived all we got was a sorry it’s busy! Even the, only other couple in the pub said they were really sorry as they felt they had our roast and had ordered after us, even ate it and was leaving when we’d only just got ours. The meat was absolutely spot on but for the rest we’ve had better for cheaper (£40) x2 roasts x1 beer and x1 j2o, Very disappointing as it also made us late picking up our daughter

We went to a party here as our friends had hired a function room. They did their own catering so I did not experience any of the pub's food. It was very quiet when we visited. A few of our drink glasses weren't very clean but staff happily swapped them over for us with apologies. They have a small car park behind the pub. This has quite a steep incline and it might have been easier to park in the underground section of it as it is flat.

Superb local Plymouth pub/club serving many great beers, wines and spirits. Excellent entertainment all through the week, including the very popular Vinyl Avengers. See press for details. Say hi to Pete & Karen owners when your there from me. Cheers

Turned up for a last drink after a Navy reunion. The last drink turned out to be 4 of them. Beer was good, service excellent and the booked singer, she was superb. Nice to see there are still some great pubs still going in Plymouth
