Cool concept for a cocktail bar but I'd like to see more interesting drinks rather than just smoke I feel like they need to get a bit more inventive to really impress. Still really enjoyed it prices aren't too bad anymore because theyve stayed the same despite inflation. Staff were friendly

The Alchemist in Nottingham is a decent place to visit, especially if you enjoy creative and theatrical cocktails. The interior is well designed and the whole space has a stylish and modern feel. The unique concept of their cocktails is definitely the main selling point and they are always fun to try. It can be difficult to find a seat in the bar area at busy times, which can take away from the experience. You can sit in the restaurant section if you order food, which helps if you want a more relaxed place to enjoy your drinks. There are better bars in Nottingham, especially if you want something with a more local or independent feel, but The Alchemist is still a good option if you like the chain and want to enjoy their signature drinks. Overall, it is a nice spot for an evening out and worth visiting if you enjoy cocktail theatre.

It’s hard to write about a place based on one persons perspective but here we go. The location is amazing and an added plus is that there is a statue of Brian Clough opposite. I found it a bit claustrophobic and overhyped. The cocktails were overpriced but very creative, the staff seemed overstretched and worked very hard to keep up with demand. The mixologist did a great job in mixing the cocktails and if you like more style than content then I guess this is the place to be, people seemed to be having fun, Look at the end of the day it’s a night out and if you want to be seen and you have deep pockets then this is going to be the place for you to be. My biggest annoyance was with the so called buffet. They served pork and chicken in batter on the same platter and if you are not careful you could mistake one for the other. Several of my party made that mistake. The staff were great and visually this is a great looking place but the food really annoyed me and some of my party.

Creative Cocktails and Grand Atmosphere at The Alchemist Rating: 5/5 Stars We popped into The Alchemist King Street for a pre-dinner cocktail and were thoroughly impressed. The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.

Maybe dependent on time of visit. I was 4 30 to 5 30. Atmosphere was comfortable, not buzzing but we changed seats twice. High chairs- feet dangling was uncomfy. Some individual seats too low then and some parts of leather couch sunken in! Only 2 staff at bar and no one took away dirty empties quick enough. Toilets are away n far. Disabled a bit closer than the gents n ladies! Barman also counted money wrong and was gonna over charge us! Menu looked cool but no beaker available for my Light bulb-which was the main reason why I wanted to order it, as it was on the menu pic outside! No service, we had to collect our own drinks even though there was a wait. Sunday platter offer looked great but we weren't hungry. Not sure if i would return, esp during the day but think night time visit might be more fun???

The place is magic, the drinks are a work of art and the food is delicious. Will definitely visit more of their locations. The reason for 4 ⭐️ is the fact that the service charge is included in the tab and I found this restraining.

Amazing experience! Not only did the drinks taste amazing but watching the talented staff make them was a real treat. All staff were so friendly and although busy, still took time to make us feel welcome and enjoy our evening.

Great place for cocktails and some good food. I come here often when I’m in Nottingham as I know I’m going to get good cocktails. Fact. I never been disappointed with the drinks. Only eaten here once and we got a selection of starters, tapas style! Lollipop tempura prawns and squid were the standouts. I would not hesitate to come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place for drinks and some food!

Had a fabulous, yummy breakfast with my daughter at the weekend. Magical cups of tea and mocktails. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good value for money and good size portions too. Highly recommend

Cocktails are a work of art and priced accordingly. It’s definitely worth a visit for the spectacular, theatrical drink making. It was difficult to get a seat even though there were empty tables in the reserved area that didn’t fill in all the time we were there but we had a lovely time nonetheless.
