“History, Hues, and Hospitality: Sunday Lunch at Pitcher and Piano Nottingham Our Sunday lunch reservation at The Pitcher and Piano in Nottingham was an absolutely memorable experience, thanks primarily to its stunning and unique setting. Housed within the magnificent High Pavement Unitarian Chapel, this Grade II listed building—originally constructed in 1876—is far more than just a restaurant; it’s a living piece of Nottingham history. The architecture alone is worth the visit. It's truly breathtaking to dine beneath the soaring ceilings and surrounded by the retained grandeur of the former chapel. The conversion, which happened in 1998, brilliantly preserved key elements, giving the space an atmosphere that is simultaneously historic and modern. It makes for one of the most visually interesting and vibrant dining environments you could find in the city, perfectly blending its past as a place of worship and a lace museum with its present as a popular social hub. For a fun, tangible souvenir, we took advantage of the on-site photo booth. It’s a great way to remember your visit, costing £5 for four physical prints and including a digital download of your photos, making the unique backdrop part of your memory. Making the online reservation was smooth and efficient, and upon arrival, we were treated to excellent hospitality. Our experience was made particularly wonderful by Jess, who waited on us. Jess was attentive, professional, and added a warm, friendly touch to our meal, ensuring everything was perfectly taken care of. Great service combined with great surroundings elevates a simple lunch into an occasion. Overall, The Pitcher and Piano offers a truly unique destination for food and drinks. If you’re looking for delicious dining in a jaw-dropping location, this venue delivers on both history and quality service. Highly recommended!”

“Went to Brewdog on Saturday 18/10/25 for their 2hr ‘Beer School’ event. There were 8 of us ‘in class’ which is run at a large table in the main bar area. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our ‘teacher’ was Cameron who really knew his stuff about Brewdog and the 5 types of Brewdog beers we sampled from light to dark. The pairings with the specially selected cheese and crackers were absolutely genius! Cameron was happy to take any questions as we talked through each sample and we had a lot of laughs at the same time. I definitely know now a whole lot more about beer than when I arrived!! Thank you Cameron I will definitely be attending again!!”

“Creative Cocktails and Grand Atmosphere at The Alchemist Rating: 5/5 Stars We popped into The Alchemist King Street for a pre-dinner cocktail and were thoroughly impressed. The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.”

“One of the most fun, insane experiences I’ve had doing something like this. We showed up at opening time on Saturday 29th March, with a booking for myself and three friends to play mini golf. Sammi at reception was a great introduction into what we were getting ourselves in for, explained everything, plus it was one of our friends birthday so Sammi let us have a free game of pool to start before we got into mini golf which was really appreciated and a kind gesture that put us in a great mood for the fun to come! We then made our way to the bar where Saffire and Chloe were ready to help! They had such a good vibe for the venue, they were fun, helpful and also really informed on all of our ridiculous questions about the drinks and venue and games! Saffire offered a shot to our friend for his birthday and also recommended some really tasty drinks that we ended up getting more of later because they were that good, and I don’t even really drink! We then played pool, and Saffire came and told us about the ‘Shlong station’ where everyone could draw a character ‘schlong’ and if it was good enough it would get on the wall. Our friend group immediately took this challenge which was so fun, with paper and pencils on the table we took the time and heavy amount of detail to get the ‘best schlong’! Saffire rated and graded our drawings and we all successfully made it to the wall which we held in great pride! We finally headed over to mini golf which went so above and beyond every expectation I had of this place. Every hole had such a great intricate theme with fun designs and playful set ups in each! You would head round the corner and have no idea what the next hole was gonna be! Our favourite hole was the ‘House BJ’ with the fake DJ decks for us to mess around with! Throughout our game Saffire would come round to everyone playing asking if we needed drinks so we stayed refreshed throughout the whole time! As our game came to an end we jumped in the photobooth to catch some memories, plus Saffire gave myself and my friend the cutest little frog which we got to take home, then we made sure to buy a pin badge each to remember the day aswell! Overall this experience was incredible! Every single person in there cared about giving us a great experience, not just because it was a birthday but because they genuinely wanted to! The whole place is so well decorated with so many hidden jokes and funny things to find! The drinks were all so tasty too! So yes, go for the fun and very provocative mini golf, but stay for the great people, tasty drinks and just a really good time! Thank you so much to Saffire, Sammi, and Chloe for the unforgettable experience, if we didn’t leave 4 hours away we would be back often!”

“It's been a long time since this place was the Old Vic. First time we'd been here as we don't tend to visit this part of town too often. Very nice place indeed ! Pleasant staff, lovely, clean surroundings and a nice atmosphere. We only popped in for a 'swift half' to see what it was like - ended up staying a couple of hours and having fab pizzas there too! 2 for 1 pizzas at that (both have to be the same). Good selection of beers, ales and ciders(try the Berliner Pilsner!) and great food, I could have had 1 of everything! We'll be back, thanks guys!”
