Everything about our experience today was excellent. Lovely open fire, attentive service from both ar staff , manager and waiting staff. The meals came hot ,were delicious and once again the service was great . Really enjoyed today and based on today's experience would definitely recommend. Thankyou .
Great service and atmosphere, food was lovely and value for money on my most recent visit. The reason I have not given 5 stars for food is on two recent visits the hot food ordered was not very hot. I had sausage and mash on one occasion which was very tasty but not hot. If this could be addressed then my rating would be 5 stars. Thank you.
Went on a quiet weekday and got the KFC style chicken cheese and gravy burger. Service was fast and the food was nice. Reasonably priced and if I'm not mistaken they have deals on meals. The staff were friendly helpful and great service. The atmosphere was general pub atmosphere, music playing and it wasn't overly crowded at all. I can't give higher than a 4star as it's the only thing I'd tried but I'll happily go back again and eat more
Cheap food and good beer. Good atmosphere. And you can double up your tesco club card points here. Bonus.
Me and my mother have been coming here for years, But in all these years we have never ever had a meal ever like the one we had on this occasion We both ordered the New York chicken with fries and peas,1 with no barbecue sauce and mine in a little pot on the side.Nearly 30 mins later our meals came out by a waitress who didn't really look like she wanted to be there....Well me and my mum just looked at each other in disbelief, the chicken was black around the edges and also under the cheese, not because of any barbecue sauce as I had it in a small pot.i cut into the chicken,it was so hard and dry, my mum said exactly the same ,it actually looked like someone's left over chicken which originally had barbecue sauce on it then had cheese topped on it again and grilled again and again and the cheese in the bottom of the dish was totally different to the cheese over the chicken (i really would like an answer why it was black around the chicken) i did get one tiny piece of bacon on top of the chicken which had a tiny piece of melted cheese on it which also looked out of place (totally different to the cheese around my chicken).My mum didn't get any bacon at all on her chicken and i thought it was supposed to come with bacon wrapped around it..Now the fries,,were they somebody's left overs and fried up again because i really would like an explanation to why some of the fries were black ,hard and inedible ever served,,some of the fries were just small pieces ,it really had made me think what goes off in these kitchens(the thought of it makes me feel sick) and just looking at the pictures makes me feel sick. These plates of food should of been served straight in the BIN. I had to go to the bar and tell the barman/manager about our meals, i asked him to come and have a look at our meals, He did ask us if we wanted something else but we said no and I asked for a refund..I was offered a full refund by the chap who acted very professional . I think they definitely need new staff or retraining . The food may be cheap and cheerful here but we got disgusting and inedible ,we not be going here again or in the near future. ..ive sent 2 emails and both have come back as being ...undelivered
We came for a family meal of 6 adults and 3 children. To say they are short staffed, the staff were brilliant. Was not waiting long for a drink, our table was ready when we arrived. They brought the children's meals out first which I think is brilliant, as it’s common sense but most places don’t do that. All our food arrived at the same time and every one of us said how lovely the food was. They also table checked us. We haven’t been for about a year due to work commitments but any chance we get we will definitely go again. Again great staff on, thank you so much
This is the best pub in the area, and now the only one I visit, everyday. The staff are helpful and friendly, the beer quality is excellent and the food superb. A word of advice..... If you're eating out, maybe a good idea to book......
Went on Monday and was lovely. Food was great, arrived quite quickly. Big portions and good prices! I had the tikka stack which wasn't something you'd typically see in a pub menu but it was delicious. Partner had the quadzilla which was huge and looked lovely. Great value for money and lots of selection
Place had lots of people upon arrival, however we had made a booking so had a cosy little corner. Order some shots and some cocktails which tasted nice and were cheap compared to most places I've been. Order starters main course and puddings with 2 shots 2 cocktails and a coke for only £58. The portions were large, cooked well and very tasty. Had a wonderful time and would definitely go back
