I ordered a chicken biriani with curry sauce and lamb momos. They sent the chicken biriani without the curry sauce, I called them to ask why and they said it didn't charge so they didn't send it. How was I supposed to know? Who would want a biriani without curry sauce, and why would they not think to tell me this until after they've taken my money from me. Paid by cash so can't get a refund. What was left was dry and barely seasoned biriani. Lamb momos were disgusting, absolutely overloaded with ginger

Had a wonderful experience at Gurkha Express Nottingham - the chicken momo, chilli chicken, chilli squid, and cheese naan were all well prepared and served. The restaurant delivers an authentic Nepalese-Indian dining experience with great flavours and attention to detail. Portions are generous and they offer excellent value for the quality provided. Service is welcoming, which makes the visit even better. I would definitely recommend Gurkha Express to anyone looking for tasty food in Nottingham.

So I've gave it a 5* for the restaurant but if I could mark it for takeaway it would be a 3 . We absolutely love this place, we recommend you all the time to other people, we have never had a bad curry and we go several times a year to eat in the restaurant with party of 8 every time and it's been 10/10. But recently when we've had a takeaway it's not been good. In the restaurant we have chicken korma which when the chicken is cooked it is like it's been in the tandoori oven which is excellent with a char onit for flavour. Takeaway is like it's plain chicken with no flavour at all. The korna sauce is runny and doesn't taste like it does at the table which is thick and full of flavour. The poppadoms are delicious at the table but takeaway are always a dirty yellow colour with a good 1 thrown in, they taste awful so we ended up leaving them as the flavour of burnt dirty fat just doesn't taste nice. Please prioritise takeaways to the same standard as eating in l, As we love coming to the restaurant but the takeaway just lets it down ☹️

We regularly have take-aways from here and really enjoy the food, however, the last 3 times we have ordered, items have been missing or incorrect. When I have called, the staff have always been very pleasant and have sent out the correct food but each time this has taken 50-60 minutes. The third time I requested a refund but was refused and assured that the missing items would be sent. 30 later I called to say that I had still not received them. Again I was refused a refund for the missing food. The delivery took a further 50 minutes by which time we had already finished our meal. Although I do like the food, I feel that having experienced the same problem several times now and the refusal of offering a simple refund, we are going to have to start ordering from somewhere else.
