“Had a large chicken burrito with drink and chips from here. Customised good generous fillings and good moneys worth. Staff were friendly and helpful with offering blue light/studen discount. Atmosphere was good and busy, only downfall being bits food on tables that needs wiping Definitely going again!”

The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. ​The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. ​The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. “Aside from the fact that all the meals I had were delicious the service was really good. The food was served on time and no delay, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Another thing that stood out for me was the steak; I always order a medium rare when having steak because well-done is always too dry. But my partner loves well-done so he had that and the steak was very juicy; it was well-done but I could still taste the juiciness of the meat. I will visit again to try the brunch menu.”

“We came here late evening as part of my birthday We were greeted very quickly and given a nice table Drinks were offered straight away but we were given plenty of time to browse the menu and order food (even though I knew straight away what I was having!) The food was not long to wait for and came out sizzling and had been cooked so tender, delicious food and tasty cocktails and reasonable prices Overall fantastic visit and can’t wait to come again”

“Dropped in last minute as needed to have an urgent teams meeting. I think it's important for Greene King to recognise what a quality Barmaid they have in Emma, she couldn't do enough to accommodate me. Really impressed. Had a couple of drinks and ended up having a bite to eat, absolutely no complaints with the food. Was an unplanned stop but defo encouraged a return. Nice one Emma, you made the visit!”

“Went for a bottomless brunch as usual place was fully booked and I'm glad it was! Tacos were awesome and the cocktails on the brunch menu were far beyond what I had expected. The staff were also very friendly and passionate. Would definitely go again for a brunch/some tacos and or cocktails! Best Pina Colada I've ever had!”

“"Wait, is THAT the building?" Yes, it is. Crazy, quirky location at the end of an old toll bridge with a giant selection of sandwiches made to order, plus crisps, snacks, water, tea, etc.. We stopped by on consecutive days while our daughter was competing at a local sports ground, and everything we got both days was first-rate (the roast pork is sublime.) Nice staff, too. Lots of cyclists in evidence so clearly a popular rest stop.”

All the staff are trained well - not a badly made coffee ever, and the service is always personable and tailored to you as an individual. We are blessed to have Portobello in our neighbourhood. It is a fun, relaxed vibe and the music is always top notch! I love the soft reggaeton play into the street, it brightens the day when doing mundane grocery tasks.”

“One of the best takeaways I've had during my two years in Nottingham. The owner and staff are always very happy to see us, today they offered us complementary chips and prawn crackers while we were waiting as they were a little busier than usual. The food portions are gigantic, always feel full after eating. The menu is very diverse, with lots of different offerings. We usually get the "Create your own box" which is only £8 for a medium box. Will always continue to be a loyal customer here and would highly recommend.”

Topay served us today and even remembered that we have been before. Her attention to detail is good, as she even remembered I had a little boy (who was not with us on this visit). “Amazing Sunday dinner! We stopped at the Trent Navigation Inn after a long drive back from London in bad weather and were looking forward to some nice hearty food. The Sunday dinner here did not disappoint! One of the best vegetarian nut roasts I’ve ever had and my husband said the beef and turkey were great too! The staff were great and the service was brilliant. Really friendly vibes in a comfy welcoming setting and can’t wait to come back for another Sunday dinner. Hopefully next time we’ll be able to save space for pudding as they also looked amazing! Thank you!”

“We come here with my non-veg friend every March when she is vegan for a month for Her beliefs and we always leave happy and satisfied. The foos is absolutely gorgeous and so tasty. The prices are a bit too much I guess it is what you get for everything fresh and prepared in the kitchen in front of you. Despite the service being a bit slow, the ambiance and the staff being so nice make up for it!”

“I came to this place with my friend on Wednesday as she has been there before and she said it was really good. So we went there and to be honest I didn’t think it was going to be that good l. However I was completely shocked how good the food was in fact I was i element eating the food. The starter nachos was amazing the nachos was proper nachos they put the right amount of cheese and sauce on. The calzone was absolutely amazing. The portion size are big portions. The staff were lovely. The owners are lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.”
