“The best Latin food in Edinburgh. The ladies that served us were so nice and the whole experience was worth it. Such a small place with great authentic flavours. Well done, would happily go back there!”
“It’s such a magical place. The moment we walked in, we could smell roses - it was so pleasant & instantly set the mood. There were roses on every table, which felt like a small but really meaningful detail that I absolutely loved. I really appreciate places that care about those little things, and it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who does:) There was no main lighting, just candles and a few small lamps at the bar, which made everything feel calm & intimate. The wooden furniture & nice paintings on the walls added to this kind of historical, yet cozy vibe. And the food… just incredible♥️ Scottish Breakfast and banana bread — so delicious. Highly recommend this place. Lovely staff as well! Totally my favorite✨”
“Couldn't recommend this place enough!! Such a cool and unique concept. Staff was so friendly and helpful helping you the moment you walk through the door to checking up on you! Food was 10/10 will most definitely be back! And dog friendly ✨”
“I booked a table for 7 adults to celebrate my husband's birthday. I called to push the time by 15mins which was not a problem. The service is very friendly, patient and informative. The food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. There is plenty of choice for all tastes, the steaks were cooked to everyone's requirements. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food and all said they would be back. I took a cake along and they brought it out to birthday music and gave us a knife and plates. I can't thank the staff enough for looking after us and making our night special. Highly recommend The Coronation Inn.”
“The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal or a fun night out. Portions are generous, prices are great value, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have an exceptional experience”
“Definitely a hidden gem. Was quiet upon going in, and we were served quickly. Food was great with big portions and staff were all friendly. Would 100% recommend.”
“I had delicious medium salad bowl, great atmosphere”
“Absolutely delicious with good vegan options. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Very reasonable pricing. Would definitely come back.”
“George our redheaded server was so wellmannered, friendly and helpful, explaining menu choices and navigating the restaurant experience. He made our visit extra special and we will definitely return.”
“What a hidden gem! Fantastic location amazing service and beautiful food. We stopped here with no reservation and had a table for seven made immediately available for breakfast. The food was fantastic, looking out over the river and Misty bridge was just perfect”
“Food was amazing. Great prices too. Waiter was very good as well (forgot to get his name) Ignore the online menu as it needs updated. Plenty of choices. Will definitely be back.”
“Fantastic place inside with so much to see and try and take in. Staff all truly amazing, food great and lots of drink choices too”
“CANADIAN APPROVED! after my two weeks in Scotland and having chips frequently, I was dying for a poutine. Found this treasure of a restaurant on my last day. Great food, outstanding poutine. The house poutine is your quintessential Canadian poutine, nothing fancy just the classic fries, cheese curds, and brown gavy *chefs kiss*. The novelty of having a Canadian themed restaurant to sit in was amazing. Friendly staff, quick service. A great place to eat! I had the house poutine with a buffalo rach Royale. My friend had the dirty fries.”
“Delicious and juicy burgers, tasty curly fries and amazing milkshakes. During my stay in Edinburgh I have been here several times. The interior is very simple, but don't be afraid of it, order the burgers and milkshake. Possible to take away if you don't want to sit inside. Recommended!”
“We were pleasantly surprise to find a place in Edinburgh which served "all you can eat" buffet and there was plenty of vegetarian food. Not only there was continental food but a lot of Indian including Dosa, mutter paneer, chili paneer, dal tadka, pani puri, bhel, pav bhaji and a lot more. Desserts included Jalebi and Gulab jamun. A very courteous team of people who were willing to help at every step. Absolutely awesome experience.”
“Finlay my guy, wow what service straight away he greeted us with such genuine warmth. We had the bottomless tapas menu and he guided us on how many plates we could have at a time. He genuinely is an asset would love him to serve me everyday!”
“Very nice fish and chips with friendly staff. The fish was delicious with a nice thin batter and the chips were crispy. The curry sauce was nice too as was the coffee that I had.”
“I stumbled across BaGet Stuffed around 6 months ago and realised I’d been missing out. Big time. Ingredients are fresh, hygiene is top notch, and I was immediately captivated by the creative sandwich names like “Pablo Escobar” and “Smoking Greek”, each one matching its own quirky filling combo. Even their drinks have personality. They do amazing coffee, and the fridge drink selection is exclusive. Jarritos from Mexico, the fridge popping with colour… it has that sweet shop nostalgia to it. The atmosphere? It’s bustling with good vibes and warm radiance. Proper community feel between staff and customers. My current go-to is the Bossman with slight customisation, and I’ll warn you now: it’s addictive. If you want to pack in some extra calories, I highly recommend my custom “Half-Bossman, Half-Mexican Cartel” protein box. It hits the spot every time.”
“Food is top class , best in Edinburgh. . you get served quickly , with a smile . staff are very friendly hugely recommended .”
“Amazing food at Seeds For The Soul. Food was fresh, tasty and just hit the spot for us! The vegan scramble was like egg!!! Loved the place and wonderful, friendly service too. Their cakes are moist, tasty, something else! (Jaffa cake slice was v indulgent)”
“This place has got to be one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh. Fairly priced, value for money most definitely. Staff really friendly and informative. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a little dark for photos, but here are some of the best of a bad bunch.”
“The owner and staff are the loveliest people in Edinburgh: so generous, kind, and thoughtful with all their customers (and not just customers, anyone they see walking past on the street who needs assistance). I cannot count the number of times I've walked past this cafe and seen the owner helping someone out. An Edinburgh food classic. They make the best sandwiches, we won't stop coming here or recommending it :)”
“I just discovered this wee gem of a vegan café/delicatessen. The food is delicious, good portions and a huge selection too. Didn't have time for cake on my first visit but I will certainly visit again as there were a lot of other sandwiches I would have liked to try. The soup choices were great too, I'd highly recommend you visit it!”
“Food was absolutely brilliant, the staff were very friendly and really helpful. If it wasn't for a works night out going on it would be another 5 stars. Would go back in a heartbeat.”
“We had a fabulous meal here recently. The service was second to none (provided us with a table for 4, even when there was only 2 of us as it was so busy!) the staff were attentive and the speed of the drinks/starter/main was about the best I've experienced. Recommend the Chateaubriand, sides of potato Dauphinoise, Mac and cheese, seasoned steak chips and chilli broccolini. We also had the vegetarian Empanadas as a starter which were also delicious. A well priced selection of red wines to compliment as well.”
“Honestly I loved this place. Taco Tuesday is half price tacos and for that I’ll be back. I had the halloumi tacos and thought they were delicious, crispy and tangy. My friend had the sweet potato with added beef, and the beef tacos and they were also very flavourful.”
“My first breakfast in Edinburgh was here, and it was absolutely delicious! I fell in love with every dish, and the latte was amazing. I highly recommend all the dishes. Some of the staff were Turkish, which was really helpful when it came to understanding which options were halal. As a Muslim, it felt very comfortable and welcoming. I’d definitely come back to this place on my next visit to Edinburgh!”
“Awesome service, Turkish coffee and the salad, near the peaceful and beautiful neighborhood.”
“Fantastic! Good sized portions (roughly £6‐£6.50 each). Great tastes. Lovely, lively atmosphere. Highly recommended. We'll defo be returning”
“We sought this place out when visiting Dundee and it did not disappoint. They recommend 2-3 dishes per person, which is a very hard choice because everything sounds delicious. We opted for the cheeseburger tacos, sweet potato tacos, patas bravas, and quesidilasa, and they were all really yummy. They also had soft serve ice-cream, so I had a sesame seed and caramel sundae - as someone who doesn't love ice-cream often, I'm so glad I did! Service was friendly, extremely efficient and quick, and the final bill was very reasonable.”
