“Petrina was a wonderful host and helped me pick out one of the most flavourful chicken burrito bowls I’ve had in a while! She and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating — I was a bit unsure of what to choose, but they guided me through the options and made the experience really enjoyable. The bowl itself was absolutely delicious!”

“I recently had the pleasure of trying Mad Cook and was absolutely blown away! The food is genuinely amazing. The standout item was definitely the Macon Smash—it was truly fantastic. The flavors and execution were perfect, making it a must-try for anyone visiting. Their tenders were also superb; perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. To top it all off, the loaded chips were an incredible treat. The star of the show on the side was the cheese sauce, which was rich, creamy, and elevated the chips to a whole new level. “From the moment you step into Istanbul, you’re welcomed with the warmth and charm you’d expect from a traditional Turkish restaurant. The ambiance is inviting, the food is full of flavour, and the service truly stands out. We were lucky to be looked after by Mehmet, who was absolutely fantastic – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience. He made great recommendations and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. The mixed grill was a highlight – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection – and the mezes were fresh and full of flavour. Don’t miss the baklava at the end – it’s the perfect sweet finish, especially with a cup of Turkish tea. All in all, a brilliant evening with delicious food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back – and we’ll be asking for Mehmet again!”

“Was served by Betty, she was lovely and funny and made it a very nice experience! Ordered the chicken quesadillas which were amazing, all the food was fantastic so very big compliments to the chefs. If I lived in Leicester I would definitely come back!”

Ordered food and drinks, my favourite chicken quesadilla, sautéed king prawns and sweet potato fries, warm chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. 2 lovely guys served us. Service is always good, food is always great, love coming to Las Iguanas.”

“We had the Mediterranean salad, which was absolute delicious! Great flavour, healthy and fillings. Also had the butterfly chicken, which looked super colourful and tasted great too but the peri peri flavour was on the spicier side so caution if you’re sensitive to spicy food, I’d suggest choosing a different favour. Overall, really satisfied with the food and service and will definitely visit again.”

“We recently hosted my engagement party at Tipu Sultan Leicester and I feel obliged to write a review regarding our experience. From the very start during the planning stage, till the very end of our event, the manager and staff at Tipu sultan were outstandingly accommodating and pleasant to work with. They listened to our needs and requests, were always on standby, and allowed us to have the most enjoyable and stress free afternoon which exceeded all expectations. The starters had arrived merely 20 minutes after everyone had arrived and settled, and shortly after the mains arrived as well. All items were hot, fresh, and tasted delicious. It is obvious that the food is prepared with a lot of love, care, and is uniquely authentic. The interior design of the restaurant itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. The only thing we would say is that the women’s bathroom could be maintained a little better. Other than that we had an amazing time hosting our engagement at Tipu Sultan, and we would definitely visit again in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to host events, or even if you are just wanting a meal out.”

“The potatoes are not frozen; they peel and fry them fresh on-site. One large potato, which costs about 7 pounds, is quite sufficient for two people. I didn’t add any sauces, but they were delicious on their own. It’s a well-executed establishment. However, it can get quite busy at times, so you may need to wait in line.”

“Tasty food, good, quick service. First time visiting, the place is spacious with plenty of seating, very clean and bright. I ordered Mexi Loaded chips, which was chip-shop style chips drenched in hot sauce and topped with jalapeños, grilled chicken and cheese - delicious and you get a lot for your money. The menu boasts an array of burgers, wraps and meal boxes - which look really tasty. The only downside is I couldn't find parking, there is a carpark round the back but it's advertised for the eatery above Chilli Flames (plus it's full of pot holes so I gave it a miss). All in all, a nice place with good food, I'll visit again. ***update I've visited this eatery many times since. The 3rd time I went, the guy who served me remembered my order from the last time and asked if I wanted that again! How he remembered I'll not know, but it did make me feel a valued customer. The food here is always "The Bomb", try the Peri Rice and Prawns - excellent!”

“Stumbled across this little Mexican today, was greeted warmly by the owners (Father and daughter). The menu was explained really clearly and the server was lovely and chatty. The food was so good, the beef was unbelievable. We will definitely come back again”

“Called in on a Friday lunch time after recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. Lovely little old fashioned pub with friendly and welcoming staff. We had a sandwich each, wife had prawn and I had beef and stilton, on brown bread. Both delicious and will certainly be having again. Just a bit of info for those wanting to eat here, food only served Wednesday to Saturday, 12 00 to 14 00.”

“Plan Burrito Loughborough. Where do I even begin? Moving here as a foodie student, I was eager to find my go-to spot for the next three years of my life. Suffice to say that Plan Burrito already has that crown. The burritos are absolutely delicious, with great portion sizes for their prices in comparison to other similar chains. The nachos and dips are fantastic with a perfect balance of sweet, salty and spicy (if you choose to get a salsa). The options for drinks are endless with more Jarritos flavours than I can count along with the classics like Pepsi Max, 7up and water. Now, the reason beyond the food for why it is the best in Loughborough is the excellent service. Today my friend and I were greeted by a lovely staff member called Abi who chatted with us the entire time, was super friendly to all other customers and made sure that our PB experience was top notch! Stephen you my GOAT keep grinding til number 100 you got this.”

“Definitely the finest and most value money Turkish restaurant in the city. The food is fresh, the service is personal and the correct balance of spices and other ingredients. Bring your own alcohol too! Highly recommend the chicken beyti meal or the chicken sarma beyti. You won't be disappointed whether it's a take away or sit in meal. Also wonderful for young children.”

“We had excellent mains and desserts here, in what is clearly a really popular café and deli. The larger meals like burgers with fries are just as tasty as the lighter bites (salads, eggs Benedict, sharing nachos). Perfect place to meet for afternoon tea as there is a great selection of cake choices (all of ours were moist) and warm atmosphere with soft acoustics. So glad we chose to lunch here!”

“Visited after a day out at the National Space Centre. The setting was lovely and the food was good, but most importantly the service was excellent and the staff were all so friendly. There was a kids Halloween party taking place - the owner invited my daughter to join in free of charge. Upon leaving, our car broke down in the car park. Charlotte was really understanding and accommodating about us leaving the car overnight and getting it sorted the next morning. We popped in again for coffees while we waited for our rescue service and received ed another warm welcome.”
