I’m really disappointed with how much the quality has dropped at Awesome Chips Leicester. They used to serve some of the best chips around, but lately it’s just not the same. I went there yesterday and ordered chips with sauces and dust, something I’ve enjoyed many times before. This time, though, they were completely tasteless so much so that I ended up throwing them away. The sweetcorn on top also tasted very different and not in a good way. On top of that, the service wasn’t very welcoming either. It used to be one of the highlights of visiting this place, but now it feels like that standard has slipped as well. The takeaway boxes were not made. It might be less staff for them, but there where 3 people. I really hope they sort things out, because they used to be great. But based on my recent visit, the overall quality has definitely gone downhill.

What a fantastic find! Was looking for somewhere to get an early lunch. They have a selection of chips and fries, and lot of great options for sauces and toppers. However, I opted for a classic, plain chips with salt, vinegar and burger sauce. Best way to test how good somewhere is, is to stick to your favourites. The chips were cooked fresh to order, and were thoroughly cooked and piping hot - perfect! The chips themselves were delicious, crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. They really were some of the best chips I've had in ages. They have certainly found themselves a new regular.

There has been a downfall coming for awesome chips. Just isn’t the same as before. I ordered the loaded fries which was 10.95. It is just a box of fries with one vegan tender cut up in small pieces, cheese & one sauce. The vegan cheese is tasty, but the lack of tenders & customisation without add ons is disappointing. Staff are quick and friendly but awesome chips products aren’t what they use to be. Wasn’t satisfying to eat

We were in town and fancied a snack and were near Awesome Chips which wasn't too busy. The potatoes are not frozen they peel and fry them fresh on-site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Original Chips with just salt and vinegar. There are a number of other toppings, combos and sauces available but we stuck to just salt and vinegar. We ordered a medium portion size which cost £4.95 at the time and is enough for two people. You are given a receipt with your order number. When your chips are ready your order number is called out and you collect. The chips were piping hot and tasted very nice and crispy. I would definitely recommend this place. If you are in the area give it a try.

The potatoes are not frozen; they peel and fry them fresh on-site. One large potato, which costs about 7 pounds, is quite sufficient for two people. I didn’t add any sauces, but they were delicious on their own. It’s a well-executed establishment. However, it can get quite busy at times, so you may need to wait in line.

Chips are very nice but the burgers used to at least twice as big and the ‘chicken’ really tasted like chicken. Now the burger is small and quite flat, doesn’t taste of anything and consistency is weird. 7 pound for q burger like this is not worth it, it looks like it came from McDonalds. I really liked how they made it before.

Waited over 20 min for a large box of chips for £7. They tasted alright but nothing special really. Not worth the wait on a busy day In my opinion especially due to the high price. You do get quite a lot of chips and there's a huge range of sauces and seasoning to choose from but at an added cost.

They give a really generous amount of chips for a small box for also a semi-decent price too (£4.50). I got smoked paprika powder and melted cheddar and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Only downside would be the 10 minute wait because i was in a rush and some chips were crispier than other but other than that i had a great experience.

Standards have dropped. I ordered Chips with Samurai Sauce. So just very simple.... CHIPS + Sauce.... how difficult is that? They charge extra for the sauces. They made a medium box of chips and put literally a quarter TEASPOON of sauce. YOU NEED TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH WHAT THEY HAVE PAID FOR. No one likes DRY chips with no sauce. Your team cant even make a simple order. Will not come back again. See the picture of your DRY chips..... cant even get something so BASIC right...
