“What a turnaround! After the absolute fiasco at the Quorn Hotel (our original anniversary plan – let’s just say we won’t be rushing back), we decided to try this place instead. And wow, what a glow-up for our evening! Yes, there were a couple of little hiccups with the food at first – but the staff fixed everything so quickly and so cheerfully that we almost wished something else would go wrong, just to see them in action again. Customer service here deserves a standing ovation! The music was a tad on the loud side, but we powered through like two seasoned party veterans. The chicken curry was tasty – even if the chicken clearly came from a very proud thigh and not a breast – and those sweetcorn fritters? Honestly, they could have been the star of the night. Crispy, golden little bites of happiness! All in all, this restaurant turned a shaky start into a great anniversary evening. Not bad for Plan B – might even be Plan A next time. In summary a nice but lively place with decent food and drinks well worth a visit, we look forward to going here again.”

“Excellent Takeaway Experience in Leicester During the recent Halloween holiday, we took our children to explore Leicester and selected this time-honoured Chinese takeaway for a meal. It is, without a doubt, the finest takeout I have ever experienced. The food was remarkably fresh and flavorful, and it was still delightfully warm upon our arrival at the holiday rental. Our son highly enjoyed the chicken balls, chicken noodles, and the sweet and sour chicken. We also found the staff to be exceptionally hospitable and kind. I would strongly recommend this establishment to anyone. It is certain to meet your expectations.”

“Great pub, excellent and reasonable prices for all drinks and food, and the service is excellent. Ordering food and drinks on the wetherspoons app is so convenient, we ordered drinks on a Saturday evening, and received them literally within 5 minutes. We go here quite often, and the service is usually quite quick, and the food and drinks prices you really can't go wrong with it.”

“My sister and I just moved around here and wanted to what the locals have to offer. Beautiful pu and garden area. Not to many people when we arrived. There was a sign saying no food being currently but that was fine by us. We just wanted a drink. Serves was polite and with a smile.”

“Went there st 1pm today with my partner. The staff on the floor were friendly which wasn't the same experience I had previously. But today we had lovely service. Food came out within 10 minutes. Restaurant was lovely and clean and very nicely ventilated. Staff were attentive and positive attitude. Makes all the difference. The new decor was inviting and spacious. Glad they got rid of the centred booths. We look forward to our next visit.”

“We have been eating at Fes Magal for the longest time and it’s been consistently good. Never had any issues with the food or staff. This time round we had Osman taking our order. Osman was really funny and made us all laugh. Excellent customer service. The complimentary starters (fresh bread and sauces) are so yummy. For mains we had Siagara Boregi, Lamb Beyti with chips and salad, Spicy Chicken Sheesh and Chicken Beyti. Everything was freshly made to order, bursting with flavour and absolutely delicious. If you get the opportunity please do drop in as it’s not to be missed.”

“Lunchtime visit with older group. Service was great. Initially we were allocate a table up a few stairs. Mobility issue with one guest was immediately spotted and we were moved to a different table without having to ask. Team were attentive but didn't rush us. Menu offered good choices for everyone. Vegetarian options were a little limited but still plenty of choice. Food was tasty and good size portions.”

“We have visited the Rothley branch many times now, this is our favourite of all the Miller and Carter Restaurants that we have been to. The atmosphere is great, the food has always been excellent and the service perfect. As was our latest visit at the weekend. Our waiter was Santino, he has served us on many of our visits and in my opinion he is without doubt the best waiter you could ever have anywhere! His attentiveness and profesionalisim is second to none. Thankyou Santino and to all the team for such a great all round experience time after time!”
