We had a great experience at Jimmy’s. First time having seafood boil and it was wonderful. Food was brought to us without much delay. Staff was polite and welcoming, especially our lovely waitress Ayesha! Will definitely be returning again to try out some of the other stuff on the menu. :)

I attended for the first time with family. Our table was booked for 1845, we got our Seabass with grilled veg and prawn platter (x2people) around 1930 (45mins later). We only had the lamb starters around 15/20mins of getting there. Service was slow, felt like others were getting their food before us when they got there after us. The prawn platter for 2 was supposed to be 60 prawns, but the picture below is what we got and even 50 prawns in another place look more than that!. The grilled veg with the sea bass was quite oily and overcooked. We were quite hungry, so we ate the food but not sure I'll be returning.

Visited for the first time with my family. Service was quite slow as we waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. We ordered the lamb chops, prawn platter and the whole seabass. The food tasted great, the flavour was delicious and not overcooked. However, we paid for the platter of x60 prawns, but it didn't look like x60. The veg on the seabass dish, was quite overcooked. I would recommend, but it was quite pricey.

I recently visited the new location for Jimmy's Killer Prawns on London Road, situated a bit further up near Victoria Park. Having enjoyed the restaurant at their previous spot, I was keen to see how things were running under the new management, and I was genuinely happy to find that the experience has improved significantly! The new premises are a great upgrade—they feel more modern, brighter, and generally better than the old store, making for a very pleasant atmosphere. Friendly Service and Excellent Allergy Care The staff, including the manager, were wonderful. In particular, Ayesha and Sherif were really good, but to be honest, all the staff were incredibly attentive regarding both us and my dairy allergen. They didn't hesitate to answer my questions and were happy to assist, which made me feel very comfortable and safe dining there. It is worth noting that they did ask me to sign a waiver for the allergen just in case, which I was more than happy to do. This kind of thoroughness shows a responsible approach to dietary needs, which I really appreciate. It's truly nice to see such attentive care! The Food: Delicious Flavours and Filling Portions The menu still features familiar favourites but with some interesting new additions. Dishes we ordered: *Platter for 2 with extra spicy seasoned prawns and rice: The food is much more tasty now! The prawns were fantastic, and the seasoning was incredible. The portion size felt slightly bigger than before, and the meal was very filling. Honestly, the quality from the kitchen was superb—a real treat to eat. * Mussels Starter (Partner's Dish): My partner tried the mussels, which were served in a creamy garlic sauce. He loved the sauce, saying it was really good. He did mention the mussels themselves were just slightly overcooked. Even though I couldn't have them, they smelled amazing! * Mongolian Beef: This was one of the newer dishes we tried. The beef was thinly sliced and served with a Spanish-style paella rice. It tasted really good. My only small note is that for the portion size, this particular beef and rice dish seems to be on the more pricey side compared to other items. Worth the Short Wait The food did take a little while to arrive, but honestly, when the food tastes this good, a small wait is fine. It just shows they are taking their time to prepare it properly and keep up the high standards. It’s great to see the effort they are putting in to maintain and build their popularity. Overall, it's great to see how much this restaurant has improved under the new management. Definitely recommended for a friendly and tasty meal and will definitely be returning.

Went here for my birthday and I I was not disappointed. The meals were hot, fresh and delicious. I never had to wait long for my meals at all. I was a little disappointed that being it was a birthday treat, they never offered a free dessert. That's the norm for other restaurants in the UK. Also when I visit other Jimmy's Killer Prawns overseas, they give a free dessert and sing you a happy birthday song. Something to make you feel extra special. Other than that, the food was great, the atmosphere was nice and even though it was full in capacity it wasn't noisy. I didn't felt rushed to have my meals. Buckets were provided to put your waste and there is always someone to take it away from your table. Gloves and other plastics were provided so you won't ruin your outfit. And there were antibacterial wipes provided also. Overall, I enjoyed my time here.

I've tried the Jimmy's in Manchester and loved it but this branch is much better. Firstly service was very good. The hostess was very attentive and efficient. The food was spot on, we ordered the Jimmys Saucy prawns and Paella. Decent price and explosive flavours. We came from London to try it out .. well worth the journey. Hope to be back soon

Finding Parking is an issue. Ablution and Prayer Facilities available. Restaurant itself got simple interior. Seating wise the tables are far to close to eachother. Also the table for 4 is 2 small to fit enough food if you order a variety of food. Ordered a prawns platter for 1 which contains 18 medium pieces of prawns served with either rice or chips and 3 sauces. Also got a Cod Fillet served on a bed of Stir Fry Vegetables with Chips. Choice of Grilled or Fried. I choose the Fried Cod and unfortunately the outer part of the fish was hard basically the coating which was very disappointing.

Really enjoyed this place. There is not a lot of seafood places to choose from Leicester, but this is the best one for me. A good choice of options as well as non-seafood such as chicken, lamb etc, so caters to pretty much everyone. This restaurant splits opinion, but the food was really good. The service we had was good, however my only complaint will be space. There was 3 of us, placed on a table for 4. But because we ordered a decent amount of food, we were struggling for space. Would have made sense for them to move us to a bigger table, but the other tables were taken up by the time our food had arrived.

10/10 for customer service, 10/10 on food tastes, 10/10 on presentation of the place and overall 10/10 on everything. Team member recommended a dish and it was out of this world. I like it spicy and it was up my street. Will definitely be coming back soon and will recommend this place to everyone. Keep up the good work guys.
