“What a delightful place for a celebration or even just a drink. The quality of the food is top notch and worth the trip. Staff are friendly and able to make adjustments as required. The bruschetta was strong with garlic and the tomatoes were very fresh and juicy. The chicken was thin and crispy, paired with the delicious spaghetti topped with fresh tomatoes and basil. The meal was finished off with zeppola. This is a crispy choux bun filled with sweet vanilla cream. I was able to get this without the cherries and it was perfect. We will defiantly be back when we come back to Leeds!”

“My meal here was absolutely fantastic! The mushroom was rich and silky, the cheese was so delicious—each bite felt like a treat. The steak, cooked to a juicy medium as requested, was tender and seasoned flawlessly. A huge shout-out to the server Brad! He was attentive without being intrusive, recommended the perfect dishes, and checked in just enough to ensure everything was perfect. His friendly smile and quick service made the evening even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back soon!”

“Wow. What a place. Absolutely buzzing with atmosphere on a Thursday night. We didn’t order food (apart from a couple of packet of tasty Yorkshire Crisps) but the food & portions looked awesome. Great selection for all tastes (Carnie, Veggie & Vegan). We got the only two seats at the very narrow bar and had a right laugh with the no-nonsense bar crew. It was so easy to order drinks using a number on the display next to the bar. The beautiful wooden rafters and full taxidermy wall make the upstairs bar one of the maddest place to get a pint. I think there is a potato is a big cat’s mouth. Standard. Sheepskin covered church pew and candles in bottles with years of dripping wax adds to the madness. As well as the incredible selection of cask & keg, they had Whitby Rum on the shelf. No generic spirits here! Oh and the soundtrack… The bar crew were playing what they like. Not what the brewery tells them to. Refreshing! Can’t wait to return.”

“This place is brilliant. From the moment we walked in we were treated as if we were the only ones that mattered. The staff are fantastic, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was cooked to perfection and the only criticism is that a small portion of vegetables would have been nice with the lamb. Highly recommend. Cost was approximately £50 per person with wine and drinks. Will definitely return.”

“A group of five of us visited the White house pub this afternoon and we weren't disappointed, excellent food, excellent service, I had the Cumberland sausage with jacket potato and mushy peas and would definitely recommend it. Great views of the surrounding moors, ideal location for walker's.”

“Nice Decent Place for Food + a Great Variety of Drinks. Been going here for sometime now for drinks or dining and always enjoy our visit. Last two visits I've noticed that the service was not up to the level which it was before for example staff taking time your order or not getting around you regularly to check up if anything needed also even after paying the bill I noticed that table was not cleared for sometime. Don't know if it was because of the less staff or just in general. The venue wasn't busy either. One thing for sure was that food was once again top notch. I'd definitely keep going here and recommend others to try this gem of a place on street lane.”

The food was well-prepared and came out quickly, and the overall vibe made it a perfect spot to relax. A special mention goes to Georgia, who provided outstanding service throughout the visit. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was spot-on without ever needing to be asked. Her professionalism and positive attitude added a lot to the experience. The setting is stunning, with such a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Even the restrooms are worth a mention – so elegant and spotless, really adding to the overall experience. The only slight issue was that around 4pm the music seemed to get stuck on repeat, which became a little noticeable. Aside from that, everything was perfect. We only had bar snacks (Yorkshire pudding with pulled beef and dirty fries). Both absolutely delicious, very good cask ales and nice selection of gins too, in a chilled, non pretentious atmosphere with friendly staff! We will be back!”

The fries were another delightful surprise. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they were the perfect accompaniment to the burgers. The cocktails deserve a special mention. Creative, beautifully presented, and packing a punch, they added a touch of sophistication to our dining experience. The taste was sublime, indicating a real talent behind the bar. However, I must say, the service could have been a tad faster. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the waiting time for the food was a bit more than anticipated. I'd recommend having a bit of patience when you visit, but I assure you, the food is worth the wait. Later in the evening, the music volume increased, which made conversation a little challenging. But if you're a fan of lively atmospheres, this might actually add to your experience. In conclusion, Almost Famous delivers a deliciously memorable culinary experience, albeit with a slightly slow service and loud music. But, if you're up for excellent burgers, tasty fries, and outstanding cocktails, you should certainly give it a try!”

“After getting an amazing take away we visited the restaurant on Sunday where we got a starter, main and naan each for £15. Waiter was really friendly and always making sure everything is fine. Food was beautiful and good portion sizes”

Called in this evening, guys are so warm and welcoming. Really lovely, very hospitable and generous. Thanks :) 2 yrs ago - First takeaway since new management, great meal. Lamb melted in mouth, absolutely excellent. Bhuna sauce very tasty. Amazing bhaji and great chaat. Chapattis good too. Definitely the best in local area.”
