“Had my 40th birthday lunch here with 25 members of my family. Excellent food, fantastic service, all with a smile. It was the perfect venue to look after such a big party and they did exceptionally well, comes highly recommended and I shall definitely be going back. The salad bar was great and the selection of meats they brought round was extensive and every single one was delicious. Absolutely faultless.”

“Excellent quality food and fantastic service. All the meats were excellent and the staff kept bringing more. There’s a pleasant self-service salad/buffet bar too. It was basically empty on our afternoon visit so we got excellent personal service and everything cooked specifically for us. The minted lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.”

“Lovely food, really nice staff. We’ve been three times in the last couple of weeks. The food is first class. The prices are reasonable, in particular the drinks. We like our meats very well cooked, and the beef here is slow cooked over a long time and you can separate the beef by just prodding it with the end of your knife. We cannot find beef like this anywhere else in Halifax, and the portions are quite big. The Sunday lunch roast dinner is brilliant, and you can have a small roast for a tenner but there was still plenty of food on the plate, including a beef steak over half inch thick! We have booked Xmas fayre lunch for the extended family. While they serve food daily, if you only eat out at lunchtime, they are open Friday-Sunday for lunch.”

“This is our go to place. Food is great and the staff are fantastic. Our visit today was for my daughter’s birthday and after a tasty meal they brought her a cake with sparkler on top. This was done by the staff without us asking and we thought it was a loverly gesture. We would recommend a visit and we are definitely returning. Thank you to everyone at craven kitchen.”

“We attended a community BBQ laid on by The White Horse, my local pub. This pub is one of the finest eateries in Yorkshire. Their Sunday lunch is to die for. The young staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Tonight, the pub organised a community BBQ. It was simply brilliant. Children were dancing about with wonderful face paintings. Unlike many country pubs that I have visited, there was a wonderful diversity of patrons, all having a ball! As an Irishman, I am very particular about my Guinness. As someone who has pulled pints of Guinness in Ireland and has been drinking it for 50 years, I can honestly say that a pint of Guinness in The White Horse is as good as many I have experienced in Dublin. This BBQ, tonight, brought people from many backgrounds together with stunning live music. I am so lucky to have such an amazing pub in our village of Church Fenton.”

“Review of Sambuca Armley Italian Restaurant I recently visited Sambuca Armley, and it was an absolute delight! We started with the spicy king prawns and lemon pepper king prawns as appetizers—both dishes were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. For our main course, we had the salmone pasta in a creamy white sauce, which was equally impressive. The freshness of the ingredients and the balance of flavors made each bite memorable. We were able to take advantage of their special which runs Mon-Thu so we got a starter and main for just £13.95. The ambiance was cozy, and it felt like a hidden gem it was just a stone’s throw from home. I only wish we had discovered this place sooner! If you’re ever in the Armley area and love Italian cuisine, you must give Sambuca a try. I can’t wait to go back!”

“If you’re looking for a place with truly excellent pizza, this pizzeria is a perfect choice! The crust is baked to perfection — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I especially recommend the Prego Pizzeria”

“Had a delightful Sunday lunch today. Warm and friendly welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble....We chose a small roast option and so pleased we did....the plates brimming, plenty for us. Deserts sounded wonderful sadly we didn't have room. We will certainly return the our youngest as I know desert will definitely be eaten then! Thank for a very pleasant experience. “One of my favourite Thai places in York. The food here is absolutely delicious and great as a dine in or takeaway option. The gluten free options are clearly labelled on the menu with quite a few different dishes being gf. The only thing to note is that when I said I was a coeliac, I was told the gf labelled fish cakes wouldn't be suitable due to cooking methods creating cross contamination. While it is really good that the staff are so well trained in dietary requirements and were able to tell me this clearly to prevent me from getting poorly, it is a shame that something labelled gluten free on the menu wasn't ultimately suitable for coeliacs. They instead advised a different gluten free starter which ended being fantastic.”
