Gorgeous place. Stayed here for my best mate's wedding (which also happened at the venue.) Lovely welcome by the staff who had our room ready very early, thank you! Straight into the wedding which was in their function room and was a beautiful space for the ceremony. The dedicated bar for the function was also a great touch. The sun shone so we were able to stand outside for drink and canapés which were delicious! Beef and Yorkshire Pudding bites, Ham Hock bites, King prawns - they were all excellent. It was a taster to what breakfast would be like the following morning. The room was spacious with a comfy bed, telly, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, dressing table with chair and mirror. Spacious bathroom with large shower was nice in the morning. Our stay included breakfast which was excellent. It was served in the bar which is cosy, comfy and typical of an English pub. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to others.
Full English breakfast was shocking. Hashbrowns had a curry flavour. Tomato and mushrooms had not been cooked for long enough (they were raw, I’m aware you can eat them raw but not on my full English).
Our large group celebrated an anniversary in the 1885 restaurant last Saturday, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Victoria's exceptional pre-event organization ensured a flawless experience. The beautifully arranged room, prompt service, and delicious food all contributed to a wonderful afternoon. The staff's warm welcome, helpfulness, and attentiveness truly impressed us. Highly recommended – we'll be back!

Fantastic breakfast, booked this venue the day after our wedding for 27 people! Amazing service, quick and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and the eggs were perfect. We will definitely be back, soon!
We have just got home from a wonderful 2 night stay and it couldn't have been better. Due to traffic and road closures we didn't arrive until after midnight and the general manager stayed on to allow us to check in, taking so much stress away! The rooms were beautiful with everything we needed and more. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice on the menu and fabulously friendly staff. We couldn't have wished for anything better.
Over night stay with friends. Friendly , warm welcome , staff lovely. Great quality food from lunch to our evening meal and breakfast. Lovely spacious , clean room and a nice comfy bed , good shower. Outdoor area seating area was practical but bench seating very uncomfortable.
