Lovely old fashioned pub with a nice atmosphere, play area for kids and with lovely service. The Sunday dinner was nice but a little over priced for what it was and would have preferred a little more option with what we received.

Read about this in Camra Heritage Pub guide for Yorkshire and really glad to have checked it out. An untouched 1960s pub, with a proper landlady offering a warm welcome. Unusually has Sam Smith’s beers available, despite not being a Sam’s owned pub.

26 of us for mum and dads wedding anniversary and we could not fault it. Food was lovely and hot, quick and friendly service and the bar had everything you need. There were 2 more large parties after us but the service did not drop. Great beer garden with things for the kids. Well done Jackdaw and thank you for a great day!

Had a delightful Sunday lunch today. Warm and friendly welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble....We chose a small roast option and so pleased we did....the plates brimming, plenty for us. Deserts sounded wonderful sadly we didn't have room. We will certainly return the our youngest as I know desert will definitely be eaten then! Thank for a very pleasant experience. We will visit again soon.

A solidly good sunday roast, big portions, good price and the service was really good. The staff are super nice and felt like I was eating a sunday roast at home.

Very tasty pub food, friendly team members and a 'Mr Whippy' ice cream machine. For toddlers and young children there is plenty of play equipment, including a bouncy castle and inflatable slide in the garden and there is a reasonable baby change station inside the toilets. We were made to feel very welcome.

This is our local, always friendly and welcoming. Sunday Lunch is excellent. And in summer the large equipped beer garden is fantastic for families. Children love it. Lil and Andy Land lady and land lord are always there to help anyway they can. Bingo tuesday night is just such a social get together, amazing local.
