    What a friendly place, great food and great service, I went with a group of 5 friends for a pre Christmas meal, the food was great and reasonably priced too. The serve was also spot on, there if you needed them but not in your face will definitely be back.

    Called in on our way home on a Sunday afternoon. Steak pie and chips were delicious. My wife had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings, she really enjoyed it . We were asked a couple of times if everything was ok, and felt really looked after . Highly recommend.

    Not been for a while so thought would give it a try. Food was excellent. The only negative was how busy the bar area was that's right next to the first part of the restaurant seating area. Very noisy and would probably benefit from being sectioned off however it was a Saturday night so it was to be expected. None the less, excellent food and service.

    Called in today, not local, but what a lovely old pub, food excellent, friendly staff and well worth a return visit next time we cross the border into Yorkshire. Highly recommended.

    Just had a couple of wonderful hot sandwiches and chips with my mam in here, chance stop on the way home from looking at a car. And I can honestly say some of the best pub food I've had. Gorgeous seating area, beautiful roaring fire and incredibly lovely staff. Look forward to visiting again some day.

    First time visiting, we were a large party 9+, and the staff were very accommodating. The food was excellent and the price was agreeable. I was pleased that they had a few non alcoholic options, that weren't just pepsi etc. They had non alcoholic beer and gin. Would recommend the pub.
