“Absolutely amazing food and service, had a late dinner with family, impeccable service, food was lovely.”
“Excellent food and service as always. Been coming here ever since this place from changed from an Indian restaurant Nawaz Kahn to Bab Tooma & we've always loved and enjoyed. My kids enjoy it even more. The lady Kiran was exceptional, very polite & patient. She knows how to deal with kids & I would personally say she's One Good Asset this Establishment has. Over all 10/10.”
“My new favourite place to eat!! The mixed grill is delicious and perfect for sharing, as are the tea pots (mint is my personal favourite). Everything is quite reasonably priced and you never walk away hungry. Service is always great with friendly and attentive staff. Plus, if you've ever seen Tangled, the decor is very reminiscent of the arty painting room in which is just great. Very charming place, definitely visit if you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine.”
“I have always received the best service at this restaurant and the staff are friendly and respectful. Also all the food is all fresh and delicious to have a great time and enjoy eating.”
“I highly recommend The meal here is nice and they have an area dedicated to family. Very well thought through The meal is overly generously portioned - a meal for 2 can conveniently feed 3-4. To minimise food waste you can be firm about not wanting 2nans that is serve with your meat and rice order.”
“Loved our visit to Nayeb yesterday. The service was excellent. The food was great. Simple flavours! We had the meal for 2 which lets you try many of their grills in one platter. The baklavas and tea were a perfect finish! Would recommend.”
“My recent visit to Icmeler Turkish Restaurant left me astounded by the exquisite blend of flavors, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance. Nestled in Wakefield, this gem of a restaurant offers an authentic Turkish dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves a lasting impression. **Ambiance:** Upon entering Icmeler, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor seamlessly combines traditional Turkish elements with modern touches, creating a cozy yet elegant setting perfect for intimate dinners or lively gatherings with friends and family. **Service:** From the moment we were seated, the attentive and friendly staff at Icmeler ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating to dietary preferences, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction throughout the meal. **Culinary Experience:** The culinary journey at Icmeler commenced with the Icmeler style king prawns and mushrooms bathed in a creamy sauce. The combination of fresh seafood, earthy mushrooms, and velvety sauce was simply divine, leaving me craving for more with each bite. Following this delightful starter, we indulged in the falafel served with hummus and a tangy sour sauce. The falafel was flawlessly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the creamy hummus and zesty sauce, creating a symphony of flavors on the palate. For the main course, we savored the karniyarik, a traditional Turkish dish that surpassed all expectations. The tender eggplant stuffed with seasoned minced meat and aromatic spices was a true testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs at Icmeler. To complement our meal, we enjoyed refreshing beverages, including fresh orange juice and diet coke, which served as the perfect accompaniments to the rich and flavorful dishes. Lastly, we indulged in the decadent baklava served with a scoop of velvety vanilla ice cream and drizzled with luscious chocolate syrup. The harmonious combination of crispy layers, sweet syrup, and creamy ice cream provided a fitting finale to our culinary voyage. In conclusion, ICMELER Turkish Restaurant in Wakefield stands out as a culinary oasis where passion for food meets unparalleled hospitality. Whether you're a connoisseur of Turkish cuisine or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, Icmeler exceeds expectations on every front. I wholeheartedly recommend Icmeler to anyone seeking a taste of Turkey right in the heart of Wakefield. **Rating:** Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Culinary Experience: 5/5 Overall Experience: 5/5”
“Really delicious and authentic food, large range of traditional meals made beautifully, made me feel like I was in Morocco! Such delicious cuisine and lovely to have in Batley!”
“Highly recommending to try the entire menu. No matter what you get. It is fresh, well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and is delicious. I have visited several occasions and every time the food quality and the hospitality is beyond expectation. It is reasonably priced, good portions, friendly staffs, clean cutlery and seating area, also they got family seating area too for more privacy, and lots of parking space. This is a must try because It is authentic, definitely one of the best Middle Eastern resturant not in leeds but in The UK. Vegetarian options available too which also mouth watering. I certainly will visit again.”
“If you're searching for the finest Afghan cuisine in West Yorkshire, look no further! This gem of a restaurant delivers on every front, offering an exceptional dining experience with authentic, flavorful dishes that are both fresh and lovingly prepared. The portions are generous, and the meat is perfectly tender, bursting with rich, aromatic spices. Every bite feels like a celebration of Afghan culture and culinary tradition. With a diverse menu, there’s something for everyone—but I highly recommend the mixed grill for a mouthwatering variety of meats, the creamy Firni, and the indulgent Sheer Yakh ice cream for dessert. What truly sets this place apart is the heart behind the food. I learned that everything, from the spices to the meat, is prepared in-house, with their chefs even cutting the meat themselves! The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel like part of the family, adding a personal touch to the whole experience. I can’t wait to return, time and time again. This is one of those places where you leave not just satisfied, but with a smile, knowing you've discovered something special. Highly recommend! Thank you for such an amazing experience.”
“Lovely food. I love the lamb shwarma so fresh. Friendly staff too”
“Just been here for the first time and I will not be going anywhere else the food is amazing and I’ve just had the bet shawarma ever keep up the great work”
“I've been coming here for years ,now I'm fussy with food . But i have never had an issue with the food here. The staff are brilliant , they are interested in you and ask about you and your family . Yeah Paul ,you could go elsewhere in this area but in my opinion when you find a winner you stick , mammas are one of if not the best pizza parlours around . Maybe seeing as you review everywhere you , your taking it a bit seriously. Have you reviewed your house and family yet ? 1 bad review takes ages to work back .Just think of that when you throw YOUR opinion about .”
“This place is definitely family-friendly! The staff are super helpful and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable, and the food was really tasty. The only slight downside is that the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, but everything else was spot on—delicious and well-prepared! We also visited another day for shisha, and it was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it!”
“I've been here a couple of times and I have to say, under-rated. I come here over going to the big fast food chains. The I assume owner that runs the place is super nice and makes sure you are well catered for. Portions are good size and the kebabs & shawarma are great here too. If you are in the area, give it a go and support your local businesses.”
“We ordered from the website for take away, but my kids insist on eating in. Despite the food already packed, they put an effort by nicely serving us in plate, even reheat the food perfectly for us. Their service has never fail to impress our family with each visit. Impressive food, chicken mandy and their orange juice is a must try. Value for money!”
“Great place to eat out and the food is delicious and very friendly staff. "Based on numerous visits". They definitely deserve 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Such a lovely place! We shared falafel wrap, Baba ganoush and dolma. We ate at the bar and received complementary tea. V friendly, thank you!”
“Delicious food very clean and made from scratch, best Turkish food in Leeds A genuine and authentic Turkish food, owners very friendly. Will be our favourite place for sure.”
“"If you want AMAZING food that everyone will be speaking about, then you have to try Akkawi Shwarma Leeds ! We had their food truck cater our event, and it was the best decision we made. The sharing platters were phenomenal, giving guests a great selection and more than enough to go around. Everyone was absolutely stuffed and so happy with our choice. For the evening we had food served from the vintage truck, which was a great visual and talking point. The Lamb Shwarma is insanely good, and the chips were so moreish – not sure what they did to them! Great value for money and professional service from start to finish. Highly recommend!"”
“My favourite breakfast spot in Leeds. As a lebanese, I would confidently say that this place offers authentic manaqeesh!! Just like home! Ordered the minced meat and the zaatar and cheese manaqeesh. Highly recommended!! Support small businesses!”
“Just around the corner from the main food court but still in the market. Sweet Saeeda is an absolute treat for anyone looking for super fresh, flavour-packed, Tunisian food. It's years since I've been to Tunisia but I don't remember ever eating anything this amazing when I was there. The range of items is really good and I can wait to try more but I had a Chicken Tunisian Plate this time which offers fantastic value at £8.50. An assortment of crisp salad items, chickpeas, olives, hummus, mechouia, beautifully marinated and fresh cooked chicken, fresh bread and an assortment of sauces that includes an umami-packed chilli one that's awesome. The lemon wedge adds yet another flavour layer. You also get a drink of your choice. Service is friendly and fast and there's a couple of tables right outside if you don't want to spend ages trying to find one that needs wiping in the main hall. You also get served on beautiful plates too. All the food other people were buying looked equally mouthwatering, I can't wait to go back.”
“What a amazing place the Persian coffee and the Persian omelette was fantastic. The staff and the atmosphere is lovely. if your planning a tip to Hebden bridge definitely give it a visit.”
“This is a tiny three table restaurant. People had come all over to eat. We went becuase of the fabulous reviews. The Yemeni food is authentic, beautifully cooked and tasty. Not a huge menu but it absolutely packs a punch. We had the 2 person sharing platter which featured lamb and chicken on a bed of rice. The meat fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. We got the dessert to go! Strongly recommend this restaurant if you appreciate authentic well cooked food. And the price… complete value for money if not too cheap!”
