Always Amazing! I’ve been to Dewan three times now and the food quality is consistently superior. Everything tastes authentic and fresh. I would highly recommend trying the Lahmajun and Adana Kebab. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Turkish cuisine in Leeds!
I recently dined at Dewan Restaurant in Leeds and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The place offers a lovely blend of Turkish and Mediterranean flavours with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The décor is tasteful and modern, with just the right touch of traditional Turkish charm. We started with the mixed meze platter, which was fresh and full of flavour — the hummus and baba ghanoush were particularly good. For the main course, I had the lamb shish, which was tender, perfectly seasoned, and served with fluffy rice and grilled vegetables. My friend tried the chicken doner, which was equally delicious and came in generous portions. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The staff were polite, friendly, and happy to recommend dishes, which made the experience even better. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size, though I’d say the drinks menu could use a bit more variety. Overall, Dewan Restaurant is an excellent spot for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine in Leeds. It’s ideal for a relaxed evening out or a casual family dinner. I’d happily return and recommend it to others.
Been here for the 1st time especially for the shisha. Shisha was exceptional and very good, and the food was delicious too in order to compliment it. The ambience and overall hospitality received by the staff were very good as well. This is gonna be a go-to place for me frequently now when visiting Leeds for sure. *****Update***** - Visited today too for the 4th time I can recall and everything was as good as always. Had calzone chicken pizza and halloumi fries which were both very good. Btw, if you are student then do ask for students discount for sure here.
This place is definitely family-friendly! The staff are super helpful and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable, and the food was really tasty. The only slight downside is that the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, but everything else was spot on—delicious and well-prepared! We also visited another day for shisha, and it was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it!
The service and ambiance is nice but very small portions for the price. The tea pot was the only item that felt worth it. The platter for one is £15 but the portion was tiny and it felt very dry especially considering the rice is plain, and after requesting some sauce to go with it, got ketchup Mayo and kebab shop chilli sauce none of which complemented the dish.
Was good when it first opened, portion size and service has decreased. Also they staff are reluctant to give the fresh chilli and yogurt sauce when ordering a mixed grill, they staff pretend they don't know what it is when I request this so I have to point it out to them near where the salad is.
This place is a gem! A diamond in the rough. I have visited a few times now and absolutely love it. The food, the atmosphere, the staff and the price. The food is always cooked perfectly and everything I have tasted so far has been delicious. Staff are always pleasant and very helpful suggesting the right foods when you are unsure. Will definitely be visiting a lot more in the future
Customer service skills are amazing. They are accommodating to all your needs and wants specially when it came to my dietary requirements. The food was lush soft and tasty and crunchy will lots of flavour. Thank you so much for taking care of us.
Been to Dewan a few times now and it’s a nice place serving Middle Eastern cuisine. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The decor inside is lovely, however the tables inside have a slant and it’s a little awkward when eating. You’ll know what I mean once if you go down. Family friendly restaurant. Wasn’t that busy for a Saturday night. The waiting staff were friendly, however the kitchen staff seem a little obnoxious. Spoke enough English to have a little conversation with me but started getting a little funny when asked a simple question. The wait time isn’t long for the food either. To the food itself, not the most flavoursome compared to others I have tried in the area but still worth a visit. If you like meaty, rich food come down to this place.
