“Always a fantastic steak experience. Tried the Wagyu Ribeye at this visit, (Nov 2025), which was excellent. While the service has always been great at each visit in the past, we found this visit to be exceptional. The friendly, professional and knowledgeable service from our Steak Expert Martina was 5star+.”
“We just want to see some new place to eat. And we got this place. Foods are really good. You will not get such a quality and cheapest food in glasgow..”
“Such a relaxing place to dine. The staff are warm, friendly and really helpful. Ask for some advice on what to eat, and they'll surprise you with something interesting. The food is off the charts amazing. This is my 4th time there and each time is a treat. Lovely surroundings (check out the ceiling!) and quiet background music. Food is delivered promptly, but nothing is rushed. Absolutely my favourite Glasgow restaurant.”
“Literally one of my favorite meals ever, let alone of a month in Scotland. World-beating hummus, fantastic sambousek, the “Spicy Salad” one of the best salads I’ve ever tasted. Fantastic mixed grill (the chicken wings and lamb chop particular standouts but everything good), big portions, all terrific. Finished with a knafeh that was delicate and absolutely delicious. Incredibly friendly, super-casual service. Expect to have to flag somebody down, and pay at the counter. A true highlight and absolutely a must-try in Glasgow.”
“Pasha Glasgow is honestly a gem! The food was excellent from start to finish. The kebabs were on point — fresh, juicy, and packed with flavour. The highlight for me was their lamb kabsa. It was cooked perfectly, tender and full of rich, aromatic spices. It also comes with a soup on the side which was amazing and paired so well with the dish. Great service and good atmosphere too. Definitely one of the better spots in Glasgow for quality Middle Eastern food.”
“Absolutely stellar! Food spiced by someone who knows what they’re about, generous portions, and perfectly crispy/fluffy chips into the bargain. Worth a special trip out just to eat here.”
“Food is plenty and delicious staff is friendly service is warm”
“Nestled in the heart of Glasgow, Shinwari Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through Afghan cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu boasts a variety of traditional Afghan dishes, each bursting with flavors and aromas unique to the region. Start your meal with their mouthwatering appetizers. For mains, indulge in their signature Kabuli Pulao, a fragrant rice dish cooked with tender lamb, raisins, and carrots, or savor the rich flavors of the Karahi Chicken cooked to perfection in a traditional wok. Overall, Shinwari Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Afghan cuisine in a cozy setting, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking new culinary experiences in Glasgow.”
“Never had a bad experience yet and we go often enough that they recognise us now. Staff are friendly. Food is always on point. It’s very very busy so you might have to wait for a table.”
“Absolutely delicious Syrian food! Everything is fresh, clean, and full of authentic flavor. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended – a hidden gem you don’t want to miss!”
“Tasty Iranian food in Glasgow. London is spoilt for choice for great Iranian venues so my rating biased. Just trying to focus the attention on the food, it was tasty and meats were as expected. Venue looks a little tired. Service was nice from the ladies but a tad slow. Car parking at rear is a great addition but tight.”
“The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Kebabs were all so tasty, but the chicken shinwari was a bit disappointing. We only get Faluda from Ambala as well cos it's so yummy. We pre-booked for a big family meal. Food came in good time as well.”
“We ordered 2 chicken shawarma and one chips Honestly the shawarma is so delicious and portion size is big enough The garlic sauce is light and tasty The shawarma is filled with pickles and garlic and onion also tomato You can ask them to remove anything you’d not prefer.. The restaurant is small with few high seats so you can have quick delicious meal and go or you can have it for take away 100% recommend and I’d absolutely come back when I crave shawarma”
“Quality over quantity with the menu as the options are falafel or hummus. Great lunch scran under blue skies for only a fiver”
“We had 1 day trip from Edinburgh to Glasgow and chose to dine here. We were not disappointed. Everything we ordered were tasty. Portion was good and so the price. The service and hospitality was great too. So welcoming! Now we are back in our home country, we still think about their Lamb briyani(mandi)”
“Gold star. First: I have a milk allergy, which is annoying as hell. But Talal made this meal an absolute delight. Falafel wrap was 11/10. Chips unparalleled. Garlic mayo, second to none. Salad, top tier. Second: The energy was superb. Did I get slightly razzed for an allergy? Yes. Was it valid? Also yes. The team made dinner feel like home. And upon leaving wished us a restful sleep. Uhm, excuse me? Thank you! Not only has this experience raised my standards for food, but also my standards for men. Would recommend.”
“Absolutely incredible food. Every element homemade, fresh and delicious. Prices are so reasonable and the wraps keep you full all day. The salad boxes are brilliant for a healthy and delicious meal. Honestly, nicest friendly staff too- always cheery and kind. This place is special!”
“Wow, what a find in the centre of Stirling. It may not have the flashy aesthetic of a 5 star restaurant, but it is quant and unique in it's appearance. The food is absolutely delicious and cheap. If it wasn't cold and wet outside I would think I was in Greece.”
“Tchai-Ovna has always offered me a nice choice of the kinds of teas I prefer. The web-site is straightforward, delivery of my orders is via Royal Mail and pretty prompt. I'm pleased to have a purveyor of fine teas like Thai-Ovna virtually on my doorstep.”
“Beirut Star in Glasgow is an absolute gem! The food is bursting with flavor, from the perfectly grilled and fried halloumi with pesto, to the mouthwatering mixed grill that was cooked to perfection. Every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and authentically delicious. The service was just as impressive—warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The location is also great, making it easy to visit for a casual meal or a special night out. If you're looking for top-quality Lebanese cuisine in Glasgow, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!”
“Incredible place with fresh, authentic Syrian food. Easily the best middle eastern food I've tried in Glasgow. 100% recommended”
“This restaurant is by far one of the best I’ve ever visited. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Every dish tastes amazing and you can really feel the attention to detail in the cooking. On top of that, the manager is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. From the atmosphere to the service and the taste of the food, everything here is truly first-class. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!”
“Excellent food and coffee quality. Custard tart is amazing and the espresso coffee quality excellent. Please update your opening times on Maps! Cheers”
“Came to Hawana with my friend and had the pan hookah, easily the best I’ve had in Glasgow. Smooth, tasty, and top quality. I invited my friend even though he doesn’t smoke, and I wasn’t sure if he’d enjoy it, but he actually had a great time. The vibe is super chill, staff are really friendly, and the cheesecake was way better than I expected. We ended up staying for hours. Definitely one of my favorite spots now.”
“The food was so amazing that we couldn’t resist going back for a second visit. The shawarma pizza, in particular, was outstanding—easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for incredible flavors!”
“Unreal lunch at Roya! The Sunday roast was delicious. Every dish and side was cooked to perfection. Our sever Beth so friendly and provided us with excellent service. She definitely made it a memorable experience!”

“Perfect food. Great atmosphere. Thank you Mr. Ricardo for a great evening. They had halal food! Would definitely come back again if I visit Glasgow in the future.”
“Great food and staff. Made our tough day a lot easier ❤️”
“A gem in the west end! Amazing authentic Egyptian street food, reasonable prices and excellent service. We tried a variety of dishes and it was all delicious! Would recommend their falafel, Hawawshy, baba ghanoush, aubergine and hummus! We also enjoyed an Egyptian tea with mint. There is a great range of sweets and cakes too. The owner and team are all absolutely lovely people, very welcoming and passionate about their culture and authentic food. We look forward to coming back!”
