Well done Roya. One of the best meals I had all year. Outstanding. Nestled downstairs beside a roaring fire we were dutifully served by really friendly, knowledgeable staff. The decor is sophisticated, not too cluttered and nicely lit. Some acoustic issues aside the vibe was warm and inviting. The menu has some nice, simple Middle Eastern inspired options and lots of variety in meat and veg dishes. Opt for smaller sharing plates or more substantial mains. We went for the kebab sharing plate and it was immense. The date and apple salad was both enormous and genuinely delightful. A side of potatoes, rice, breads, sauces all really well put together. All in all a really lovely dining experience. Uncomplicated but flavourful dishes and fairly priced. Really looking forward to going back.

We visited Roya Café for my wife’s birthday lunch, and overall it was a really nice experience. The ambience was fantastic—warm, stylish, and perfect for a special occasion. The service was also genuinely good, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered Turkish Hummus, Spicy Chicken Tawook, Garlic Naan, and the Very Spicy Fattoush. I personally loved the food; everything was flavourful and well-presented. The Chicken Tawook had a great spice level, the hummus was creamy, and the Very Spicy Fattoush definitely lived up to its name. However, my wife didn’t enjoy the dishes as much, so it was a mixed experience in terms of taste. There’s paid parking nearby, which is convenient if you’re driving. Overall, Roya Café has a great atmosphere and friendly service, and while the food suited my taste, it may not be for everyone. Still, it made for a pleasant birthday lunch.

If I could give 100000 stars I would!! We went to Roya for their afternoon tea and it was absolutely incredible!!! We loved the twist on a traditional tea and enjoyed the flavors, freshness, and attentive staff! It was so loved, we ordered take away a few days later to try some more of their menu. Highly recommend the Turkish cigars and the dips with naan!! I wish I could take this restaurant home with me!! The ambiance is also so perfect. The space is amazingly decorated and this was definitely a trip highlight for sure!! Do not sleep on this place!!

The portions are HUGE! It was our first time here and we didn't quite know what to expect so we asked the waitress, who recommended about 3 plates per person. So we got a dipping platter, which was a large piece of bread with 4 big dips, 3 plates which were also big, and 2 deserts which was really where we just ended up laughing in disbelief - the hazelnut hummus was 7 slices of bread + a full plate of some hazelnut cream. Having huge portions is great, but please don't suggest people get so much food as it's a waste and we ended felling incredibly full for the rest of the day even though we couldn't finish all of it. Regardless, the food and drink were great, and although pricy, considering the huge amount of food we got, it was fair. We'll come back, but we'll have about half of the food we got this time.

Really loved the food, diverse menu with middle eastern dishes, some of them with a modern twist. Good for sharing small plates. The burrata was delicious! And the potatoes were also excellent. Lovely restaurant and friendly service!

Came here for lunch as a 4 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food on the menu is really social - think sharing platters and little bites. The Middle Eastern tatties and bagel were stand outs. The dip sharing plate was incredible - everything was delicious. The only thing which didn’t work was the rose lassi cocktail - the ones on our table took on a funny consistency and had sediment bits at the bottom. The decor is beautiful and there’s plenty of space. Everything is very clean. Service was great until the end, as we had an extended wait for the card machine to pay, even putting our coats on and standing up to get attention so we could leave. Putting this down to early operational snags. Well worth a visit.

A great new spot just opened in the city centre! It's middle eastern small plates style menu is sensational. Had a good try at eating most of it and didn't even make a dent. Wines and cocktails were also great! Amd the interior isnstunning. Will definitely be back!

What a place. Great food and a fantastic atmosphere. Had dinner at Royâ with colleagues after work. The difficult part was deciding what to have. We opted to get as much as possible and shared it. Will definitely be going back.

Absolutely brilliant! A slice of Middle Eastern magic in Glasgow! Gorgeous interior teamed with perfect mood lighting - amazing place for a romantic dinner or just a spot of lunch. Highly recommend the Lebanese white wine and the food is out of this world. I cannot wait to bring the whole family here! What an addition to Glasgow! It's exactly what it's been missing.
