“I recently visited Barburitto and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. I ordered the classic burrito with chicken and chorizo, and it was like a fiesta in my mouth. The flavors were so delicious that I wanted to write a love song to the burrito. I mean, who needs a significant other when you have a perfect burrito, am I right? The service was lightning fast, which was great because I was so hungry that I could have eaten my own arm. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel like a burrito royalty. And let's not forget about the cleanliness - the restaurant was so spotless that I felt like I was eating in a surgical theater. Overall, Barburitto is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a tasty and efficient dining experience.”

“Literally get a take away here once a week. Kebabs are amazing and the burgers are absolutely brilliant. Flame grilled burgers and you can actually taste it. Been ordering hear for about 2 years + now. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in Penicuik. Quarter pounder cheese burgers or the yankie doodle dandie burger! Brilliant! The kebabs are really amazing also. I’ve had my fair share of kebabs else where but Corfu is defo the best for kebabs and burgers Delivery always comes within 30 mins. No issues”

“I've lived nearby the entire time this place has existed here, yet never once stepped inside for a meal until today. ...I regret my past self's ignorance. Myself and my parents, 3 very different meals but they nailed them. My burger tasted great, wasn't oversized and they knew how to make a good chip. The curry we asked for a little heat to it (as it was advertised as being mild) and it came out at the right spiciness, and the kare kare was quite light but great tasting as well. Desserts were pretty large, obviously homemade and delicious. Sit in prices were pretty cheap, the takeaway option looked like it would be even cheaper! I'd certainly label this somewhat of a hidden gem. I attach the photo of my dessert, the combination of my two favourite desserts, cookie dough and cheesecake. A thing of beauty, if not exceptionally sweet!”

“Informal and cozy diner style place with signed guitars and old vinyls stuck on the walls and in the ceiling. We had a wonderful evening with amazing food - the Braveheart Burger topped with haggis was SO tasty! Jordan, our waitor, was the nicest person. We came around 18:45, so not too busy as they close at 20:00. The portions are huge, so come hungry. Highly recommended!”

“Really nice place to get an afternoon snack. Had classic fish and chips on our first vacation day, and it was really good. The server was friendly and the food was ready within some minutes. The view right next to the shop is directly at the beautiful sea. Sadly there are no tables to sit and enjoy the food inside but just some meters away is a staircase directly down to the beach. Would absolutely recommend it!”

“This is the second time my friend and I are getting burritos from here and we LOVE it. We were really confused by the negative reviews we saw! I’ve been getting the shredded chicken burrito, and she (a vegetarian) gets the veg option. Can’t speak for other menu items, but the burritos are delicious and so chonky. Personally I struggle to finish it in one sitting but even if you’ve got a bigger appetite, they’d fill you up. We got it as takeout too and they’re still great. Such a great supper option too because they’re open till so late on most days — a rarity for food places in Edinburgh!”
