Just had the 2 course Christmas Menu.. absolutely lovely and good value for money. Big thank you to Rik for making us feel welcome and for his great service, nothing was too much trouble. Merry Christmas to you all.

I’d be so embarrassed to claim this as the best homemade pie in Nottingham. I don’t think the kitchen knows what salt or seasoning is. Highly recommend a visit to The Market Pub in Chesterfield, or The Woodlarlk Inn for something closer, if you wanted a tasty, well made pie. Fine for watching a Forest game but recommend eating elsewhere.

Amazing Sunday dinner! We stopped at the Trent Navigation Inn after a long drive back from London in bad weather and were looking forward to some nice hearty food. The Sunday dinner here did not disappoint! One of the best vegetarian nut roasts I’ve ever had and my husband said the beef and turkey were great too! The staff were great and the service was brilliant. Really friendly vibes in a comfy welcoming setting and can’t wait to come back for another Sunday dinner. Hopefully next time we’ll be able to save space for pudding as they also looked amazing! Thank you!

Good beer and very nice food at reasonable prices. Decent outside seating area with huge cinema screens left and right for watching sports. There is even a seating area under one large marquee. Additionally there are some fine pictures of artwork of Sportsmen etc scattered about. I can only imagine this place to be packed out on match days and I can see why.

Great venue and well run. Very busy bar when we visited but staff were very attentive and there was a minimal wait. Good selection of ales at very good prices. Very good outside space and would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Every time I go to the Trent Navigation I lament that there tasty beers aren't more readily available in other pubs. Here though, they always have a good selection. Today we also found out they had outstanding Sunday Roast Dinner's. We both had the Lamb shanks, which aren't usually on the menu at other places and they were fantastic. All the veg and trimmings were good too. We'll have to go back for the beef, pork and turkey. We've only eaten there once before in recent years. That was on their Friday night fish and chips thing which was very good too.

First time visit after an invitation from camra , only to find it was the brewery base. Very good choice of beers and all well kept, a good selection of snacks were available in the supplied buffet. Staff were attentive to the customers needs and quickly served the customers, seating was clean and well spaced which suits pubs ambience.

Fabulous wedding reception venue! Staff were brilliant. Buffet was lovely. Drinks at fair prices. Staff set the rooms up prior to arrival and accommodated for all our needs. Family and friends all said they had a brilliant night. Thank you Sam and The Trent Navigation Inn Team

A great match day pub for Forest games but also a really good place to watch the football when they put the fan park on. Huge screen and fast service at the outside bars.
