“Went as a couple during a trip to Edinburgh. We booked via OpenTable, but on arrival, we weren't in the system :( The place was packed, but the lady at the front desk found us a table just over an hour after the original booking. I can highly recommend the bar next door's French 75 and Old Fashioneds to help pass the time :) I had a 950g porterhouse, medium, with a good charring. It was delicious. Pink and juicy, melt in the mouth stuff, with fat rendered so it dissolved in my mouth. I think my girlfriend enjoyed her food too, but I was too distracted with the beauty that was mine :D”
“Brilliant place for a birthday venue with plenty of space”
“The food was absolutely delicious! Both the pasta and the risotto were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The dishes came out really fast, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. The service was warm and welcoming — HARIA was especially friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!”
“I was here for the Bo'ness Athletic game. Staff and players are friendly and approachable. Park is well maintained and clean. Parking is no problem, and easy enough to get to. Shops nearby if needed.”
“A nice setting and even a snack van which is great on a cool Sunday morning”
“We loved the burgers and the chicken quesadilla! Super comfortable, and great deals.”
“Lovely quiet private club with 3 snooker tables”
“One of the best clubs I’ve ever been to. Decent prices, heated smoking area, friendly staff and good music. The cocktail bar is great, if you want to take a break from dancing, you can sit down and relax there and not be forced to be outside. Shoutout to Andy and Natalie”
“This is one of my favorite things I did in Edinburgh. There was an 8 quid cover fee, but it was worth it! Obviously the 70s and 80s music is a hit and everyone there is dancing and singing and having the time of their lives! The music is loud, but I still felt a sense of community which I don't normally feel in clubs (if that makes any sense at all??)! Highlight of the evening was when they played the 1989 Belgian Techno anthem, Pump Up the Jam. Any time I thought maybe I should get back to the hotel, I kept saying, AFTER THIS SONG! and kept dancing. The drinks were not outrageously pricey, though the shots were not particularly strong. Just an amazing time all around!!!”
“Great cocktail bar, amazing atmosphere! I have been an Edinburgh resident for my whole life and this is one of the best experiences I’ve had! Make sure you visit here. Service is phenomenal, I had Pier as a server, electrifying! A must see for Edinburgh”
“Was at an informative and entertaining whisky tasting. Great fun, great drams, great service. If you enjoy whisky, if you want to know what it's really about, this is the place. Authentic, loved, knowledgable.”
“As a fan of a more successful rival who also play in green, this is the best training facility I have seen. As a contractor to many pro clubs, the whole setting and friendliness of these guys is second to none. Beautiful place.”
“First time here and I'm so pleased with the food and service! We were unaware that they had a limited menu for lunch, so we chose from what was available. Yet, the service size and flavors did not disappoint! My husband and I both chose the same dish. I can’t eat potatoes and asked if they could change them for one of the side dishes, and they did at no extra charge. I was very pleased with the flavors, my husband too, and the overall experience. The prices are very reasonable! The building inside is pretty with some rock walls (they seem to be real rocks) and they simple yet nice decoration. The two boys working today were very attentive and always checking that things were okay. They advised my husband on a drink he wanted to have, too. We would be happy to go back when in Edinburgh again. We would try to go for dinner, though, so we could try different dishes.”
“Full respect to the chefs and whole team, thank you. Great food was very tasty, appreciate all little details on each plate. Very enjoyed today Christmas lunch. Nice choice of wine too.”
“Recommended to us by a local, this bar is an absolute gem! Fabulous cocktail list and wonderful staff - we loved sitting at the bar watching them prepare our drinks and having a chat. The venal record collection is impressive as well - great tunes!”
“We got reservations but didnt feel like we could have needed them. Place is beautiful. Themed throughout but elevated. They are currently on an ice cream trend but all the cocktails we tried were super well balanced nothing too sweet or creamy. Just perfect. Service was great and the fastest in EDI.”
“Great little Scottish pub. Wife and I were there a couple years ago while staying in South Queensferry on a trip to the Open when it was at St. Andrews. Came back on another trip to Edinburgh with more of the family this summer and it was the one place that was already circled when we came back to Scotland from the States. The locals are fun to hang with, the staff is super friendly and the meat pies were the best I've had in two trips to Scotland. The one thing I'd like to point out and give a HUGE thanks for is that we made a reservation for dinner several months in advance and the day and time we reserved was actually a time the kitchen was closed. They actually brought in extra staff to open the kitchen just for us and honored the reservation when they could have easily reached out later and said no. If around the Edinburgh area I'd absolutely recommend stopping here for a pint and some food. The little harbor is just a short walk away and views of the three bridges is worth it. If driving, parking can be tricky but there's a free lot on Rose Ln. - turn in between the pizza shop and Priory church and head towards the Firth.”
“Atmosphere is very chilled with wood tables and chairs and stone walls. It is a lot bigger thank it looks from outside. I'd also say once you are past the threshold it's quite inviting, not sure the outside gives that feel. The range of ale/beer is good. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm not keen on the traditional tasting beers/lagers and the staff suggested the raspberry wheat beer which was delicious and very drinkable. I'd give yourself a good 30 -45 minutes to enjoy one. We were just over £12 for two drinks.”
“Ive been before and the pizza always hits the stop. Seasonal beer are always fresh and interesting and a must get. Perfect place to watch the rugby and enjoy some good beer and food.”
“Most lists have this as the place to go for a top notch whisky selection and I see why. Wonderfully designed flights to provide whatever variety you want. Couple this with 391 more you could try off the self and you’ll need to have an exit plan and a way to get home. The flights give very generous pours. It’s worth it to share the flight. I loved my tour of Scotland and the help the staff gave with the journey was invaluable. The food was borderline boutique but plentiful and very good. Sitting outside provides a nice feel for people watching and the inside is a great slice of history. A must stop.”
“We had a great experience here during our trip to Edinburgh. The staff were welcoming as you walk in, and the staff member serving us was very friendly and attentive. He gave us recommendations, which were all so tasty, and worth every penny we paid. Apart from that, the decor and lighting in there was perfect for an evening cocktail date night, would highly recommend!”
“Friendly bar with great atmosphere, also good cocktails especially the margaritas.Very busy Saturday night recommend booking table.”
“I got help from a host with blonde hair and glasses (didn’t catch her name i’m extremely grateful) on 07/10/25 around 4:50pm who helped me get seated early even though my reservation was at 5:30pm. I just helped by John who told me all the specials and helped me with a wine recommendation. Ended up getting the haggis which were amazing. The steak with was also amazing + added in broccoli also amazing. Desert was sticky toffee pudding which was a great way to end the meal. Extremely satisfied with this restaurant and the staff!”
“This place is a hidden gem, located under The Huxley and right next to the over-crowded Gillie Dhu in Edinburgh’s West End. Fantastic atmosphere with very attentive staff. My favorite (non whisky) bar in Edinburgh!”
“My husband and I enjoyed dinner and drinks. We visited on a Sunday evening. We had the panko fried tofu and patatas brava. We had the best sabre and blood rose beverages after dinner. We also enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was sublime! Service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.”
“I was on a visit to Edinburgh Xmas Market first over a few days with my granddaughter we were told to come and eat here by my daughter while down here we had the best experience and the atmosphere was amazing I love anything Rock N Roll staff were fantastic as well as the food cocktails are great they have mocktails too”
“Food and atmosphere were really good as usual. However, the lady with the beautiful purple hair made the lunch that wee bit more special. She was friendly, approachable and utterly charming. Both my friend and I agreed that she was a real asset to your business.”
“Such a beautiful pub with an amazing beer garden! the staff are very friendly and welcoming i would highly recommend”
