The epitome of professionalism mixed with comfort and a twist of nerdy. I ordered 2 drinks based off my usual flavor profiles and then let the mad scientists behind the bar recommend my next 2. All the cocktails were excellently crafted and unique flavors. Had the pleasure of hanging with Alex, Cameron and Becca while getting my sip on and the company and recommendations matched the level of quality behind the drinks. Absolute pleasure, clearly deserving of the recognition and would recommend to anyone looking for a special night in a cozy atmosphere fueled by some outstanding libations. Thanks for a memorable evening friends.

This fabulous subterranean cocktail lounge is simply delightful. If you enjoy superb drinks set in a stylish background- look no further . It’s worth booking in advance as it’s a popular venue any night of the week. The staff are great hosts and the welcome is warm. The Mixologists / bar staff are excellent in every way. Thanks to Alexa and other servers who made every customer feel so valued.

We got reservations but didnt feel like we could have needed them. Place is beautiful. Themed throughout but elevated. They are currently on an ice cream trend but all the cocktails we tried were super well balanced nothing too sweet or creamy. Just perfect. Service was great and the fastest in EDI.

Atmosphere: 7/10 Located in Edinburgh’s New Town, Panda & Sons hides behind a barbershop façade on Queen Street—a classic speakeasy entrance. Once inside, the space splits into several small rooms with mostly table seating. The bar itself isn’t the visual centerpiece, and the backbar feels underwhelming compared to the lively buzz in the space. The vibe is vibrant and fun, though the music volume crosses into too loud territory, making it harder to fully relax. Drinks: 7.5/10 Recommendation: Panda Martini The menu is creative and structured into chapters by drink preparation method. Conceptually strong, but execution doesn’t fully live up to the idea—flavors are low in complexity, and balance could be improved. Glassware and garnishes are basic, while coasters and menu design show some creativity. Presentation overall feels restrained for a globally recognized venue. Service: 7/10 Water is served on arrival. Staff are friendly, but service is on the slower side—likely due to the fragmented layout and not enough staff covering each room. The team is approachable, yet professionalism and attentiveness vary depending on where you sit. Reservations are recommended; pricing is average for Edinburgh.

Fun space with creative cocktails. Some of them weren’t a hit but with the size of the menu, you are guaranteed to find some you love. Our second round choices were all amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. A fun spot to try with friends.

Such a nice place, the drinks were all amazing, and all the staff were lovely! I ordered 2 cocktails and so did my friends so I got to try a few and every single one was delicious! It was nice for a treat, a little expensive but totally worth it, especially as a nice treat! Highly recommend!

Awesome cocktails, were really special! They're not cheap but totally worth it. We also ordered some olives as a snack and they were surprisingly good. The place is styled and service was great

Absolutely smitten with this place after stopping in for a couple of drinks. Very fun atmosphere needing to go down behind the bookcase to enter, and the room itself is just lovely to look at. Plenty of space for people to drink and talk. I had the Where You Bean which was AMAZING, and the Ling Ling which was less my style, but still a quite interesting try! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely going to recommend this one to anyone looking for an atmospheric bar experience with an interesting cocktail menu :)

You walk into what seems like a barbershop, take a left, walk downstairs then you will have to open a book shelf, and there it is. Very classical speakeasy atmosphere. The drinks were really nice and the staff was quite friendly and quick. They even put out a little reveal for one of the drinks.

This is a great cocktail bar, and ticks all the boxes. The drinks taste unbelievable and don’t leave a nasty taste in your throat. All the staff are friendly and happy to help you, and guide you through the menu, or find what you will like. The atmosphere was great, and I got to sit at the bar and watch the staff make the amazing drinks. The panda theme throughout the bar is great. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and will return to see what cocktails they have in the future. I am also a lover of whisky cocktails due to this place.
