Great bar tucked away on a cobbled street in the new town. Fantastic land lady full of fun. Playlist was fantastic. Mostly Belle and Sebastian with Neil Young and Nick Drake thrown in. Very fun and cool crowd of punters on a Sunday afternoon. Great find in edinburgh away from the tourist trap!
Many pubs promise you a unique experience, but very few live up to the hype. Fortunately, the Starbar is not one of those. Even on a weekday afternoon, you can feel the atmosphere. The Guinness is excellent and the staff make you feel like long lost friends. The decor could best be described as quirky and while the Starbar won't be to everyone's taste, I loved it and I'm looking forward to a return visit.
We had the absolute PLEASURE of collaborating with Starbar for some nights of music and celebrating during the festival and it couldn’t have been a better location. The atmosphere is amazing, the garden is just gorgeous, and the staff are all brilliant and great fun. If I could rate 10 stars I would! ⭐️Thank you Bella you rule!!
Really nice wee bar, great atmosphere when we visited on a Saturday evening, good mix of folk, plenty of young folk. Bar staff knew what they were doing. Nice place, tucked away, and definitely will be back.
Quirky wee bar with a bit of character but absolutely ruined by the owner who is probably the most ignorant and weirdest barman ive came across in my life. Stares and you from behind the bar and has nothing but cheeky comments and bad attitude.
Just visited this hidden gem for the first time today and instantly fell in love with it. Can't wait to come back soon and hammer a load of coin into that jukebox
