Ive been before and the pizza always hits the stop. Seasonal beer are always fresh and interesting and a must get. Perfect place to watch the rugby and enjoy some good beer and food.

We had an absolute blast as a table of 9 with 5 kids. Jordan on the bar was super sweet and gave the girls some chocolate. He also understood the need for spice on the pizza! The flights of beer for 9 quid were great value, and it being home brewed is a great plus. All the food was excellent and as you cam see their stone base pizza oven was a highlight. So welcoming and accomodating on our visit and I could not reccomend them more highly. Great food, ale and excellent service that is a rare treat.

Loved this place for a good hangout spot. Watched the Soccer game, Scotland vs. Denmark, it was fun and exilerating.... it was followed with a live musician with great songs. The good was great... loved the Pizza and fried pickles....I was not too crazy about the wine list, but I am strictly a wine drinker.... overall loved it!

Gotta say not great! Was excited to come here for some light snacks and a casual dinner, and it was such a miss! The ambiance is great, good music, cute decor, but the rest is just underwhelming. We got the salted pretzel, but it was not salty. At all, no salt to be found!! And the cheese sauce was very gritty and flavorless, which is a bummer because beer cheese is not rocket science especially for a brewery type place. The corn ribs were dry and flavorless, and the sticky jack chicken bites were actually okay but needed some kind of dip to feel complete. We sat with dirty plates on the table and empty drinks for over 30 minutes while the wait staff walked by multiple times and glanced at our table and walked on by. We tried to use the QR code on the table to order more drinks and more food but the items we wanted were not on the menu online. Decided after near 40 minutes we’d to try to flag down a staff member but they were nowhere to be seen which is frustrating. When they finally came over they left the dirty plates that were now neatly stacked at the end of the table. The cocktails were too sugary and were filled halfway which is mental for a 12£ drink. Finished it in three SMALL sips. Taste was fine but overall would pick somewhere else if you’re a foodie. Can’t comment on the view because we were on the first floor but I’m sure it’s lovely based on photos.

Very nice location at Grassmarket. We got a table on the rooftop and really enjoyed the beautiful weather and terrace. The fish & chips were among the best we’ve had in Edinburgh – crispy and fresh. Most of the staff were friendly, though unfortunately our waitress came across as a bit snobbish. Overall still a good experience.

A brilliant location for a "cool" bar. Visited here for a few drinks (food is also served here). The staff on arrival where very welcoming and were happy to accommodate us on the roof terraces. Suggest booking a table If you know you are going to visit to avoid disappointment. Our server was happy to discuss the menu and choice of available drinks. We ordered two cocktails one of which was the Iced tea that was delicious and well presented. Also tried the home brewed beer here that was also a fresh larger. Would recommend giving that place a visit, rather expensive but well worth it.

I recommend the place, very nice terrace and Castle views. I have been working in the hospitality industry for many years and I would like to comment about the staff. I had lunch in the restaurant, Holly my waitress, was new but didn't look like that, she was very efficient, dynamic and kind. She was giving a very good service not just to me but to all the tables around. The waiter in the bar was very professional, he prepares very nice cocktails. The food was nice and respected my allergies request. The 2 Italian cooks I have to say didn't look professional, in my opinion, speaking in Italian between them but loud that I could hear all the conversation, they were eating with their hands in front of customers, (when still was quiet) and one of them was asking the waitress to bring the plates to the tables not in a nice way.

Booked this place solely on having a view of the castle and we lucked out by having a table with a perfect view. Ordered 2 pizzas which were lovely and didn’t take all that long. Staff were very good and attentive checking on us during the meal and asking whether we wanted more drinks, can’t complain about the staff, food or venue. Amazing!

It did not disappoint. I really wanted to come to this bar as for the many good reviews I have read. It was hard to find a table even with the booking. I had to rearrange a bit our plans, but it was totally worthy. We were at the rooftop bar. Great atmosphere and amazing view of the castle. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Service was quick and attentive. We had a couple of drinks and a pizza, which I must say, it was very good! Coming from Naples, it’s difficult form me to find good pizza, and this was so good. Perfect dough and fresh ingredients. They have a lot of vegan and gluten free options as well. We had really good time. Must come back!

A great pub on many levels including nice roof terrace bar with a view of the castle. The roof top bar also has a van parked on it where they serve the drinks and cocktails from. There are also old ski gondolas you can sit in. They brew a nice selection of beers to try instead of the usual commercial fare. We didn't try the pizzas while we were there but they looked and smelt amazing.
