Supremely busy starting at dinner. We ended up going to a few other stops before rounding back and getting lucky with an open table. If you can get the chicken leek pie, ORDER IT. It was sold out when we dined but I bet it was delicious. Our consolation pies were still very good, we had the award winning beef pie and the 4 bird pie. We had a round of mini Guinness for dessert. Perfect for a friend who has no idea what a real Guinness tastes like.

We had an outstanding experience at Greyfriars Bobby Bar. From the moment we walked in, every member of the staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The host set the tone immediately with a great attitude and could not have been nicer. The bartenders were just as impressive, both very friendly and efficient, and had us seated quickly even though the place was busy. Our server was exceptional, attentive without hovering, and made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. Mashed potatoes are creamy and meaty and delectable!! The entire team worked together seamlessly and created a great atmosphere. We loved our visit and were really glad we chose to stop in. Fantastic staff, good food, and a wonderful experience overall. Five stars without hesitation.

Maisey and all the girls are amazing. Adam the manager was also fantastic. I came like 4 times in my two week stay and every experience was 10/10. I miss you guys and the food was amazing. Best pub by far in the city centre. Haggis neeps and tatties was better than my grans. (Sorry Gran! RIP!) and the fish and chips were unreal. I’m from Toronto Canada and we have some of the best food and beverage service workers in the world. I was very impressed with all the staff, some of the best in the city . Thanks for everything guys. Adam I’m coming to work for you in May 2026! Pay me in food, no worries lol hopefully see you all before then!!!!! The Canadian Brad Pitt :)

Out of all the places we ate at during our honeymoon to Scotland, Greyfriars Bobby offered us one of the BEST meals on our entire trip. It was absolutely delicious, and the service was wonderful. This place is a MUST-try if you are in Edinburgh!

We only wanted a sandwich but they didn’t have a snack menu. So we had the fish and chips and it was delicious. Lovely busy little pub. Interesting watching the people go by and queue up to have their photos taken with the little Bobby statue. Service was good, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Once I find one, I have a tendency to go to places with good food and service multiple times during the same trip, and Greyfriars Bobby’s Bar is one of those establishments. The staff is super nice, hard working, and they even remembered us from the previous visit. The drinks selections are good, and their food is just as tasty. Try the haggis and cullen sink here if you want to try it for the first time, you won’t be disappointed!

5 stars for the food & vibe, but 3 stars for the service. Yes, it was on Boxing Day and it was jammed pack inside so will give them the benefit of the doubt. Will definitely be back for another try. Had a couple of their Famous Pies and they all were great!

The food here was super tasty! The lentil pie was my favorite, and the apple pie delicious. Good veg options (and vegan). Plenty of meat too. I went here a few times during my stay in Edinburgh. I went with friends and I also went alone to eat and read- enjoyed both experiences. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

Cozy local Scottish pub. Known for their homemade pies. We ordered the steak and pale ale pie, served with mash potato, steamed greens and carrots. Tasty, generous portion.

A friend and I stopped in for a coffee and a sweet treat a few weeks ago on a day trip to Edinburgh. We had sticky toffee pudding in mind (which we got, with custard...freaking amazing), but were distracted by a daily special of meringue and raspberry goodness in a dome (so we got that, too). The lady serving us was super friendly, and the place has a cute story about a dog (be sure to touch his nose outside the place). I'm including pictures of the meringue raspberry thing because never in my whole American life have I come that close to orgasm from a dessert. You're welcome.
