“The Rose and Crown is easily one of the best student pubs in Notts. The food and drinks are always spot on, and the BOGOF cocktails on Fridays and Saturdays are a huge plus. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and always up for a laugh, making the atmosphere both comfortable and enjoyable. Sean is by far the best manager, while Tracy and Angela always look after customers and make sure everyone’s having a good time. The chefs are quick and provide some of the best pub food around, and karaoke nights are always entertaining, making it a go-to destinationw with a fun mood every time xx”

“Been coming fairly regularly since the new owners took over. Such a transformation. The owners and staff are great, super friendly and trying hard to turn the pub around. The ales are well kept and at a great price. Have had a Sunday roast (with a pint of titanic plum porter for desert.) on the first weekend and it was really tasty and good value for money, well worth a try. Also had a burger which was a big portion and tasty. Will definitely eat here again may even try the ultimate test and have the steak.”

“I went with my brother for a meal for the first time since lockdown. We both had a pizza. The pizza was superb. Fantastic food. Great polite and friendly staff. Great value for money as it was the Eat out to help out. The atmosphere was buzzing with people.”

“My cousin's local. Guinness about £3.80 a pint. The food is amazingly good. Two fish & chips and two burger in a basket meals (Mmm.. This IS a tasty burger) for about £37. I wish I had these prices down South.”

“Awesome pub food, good service and great atmosphere. decore is upto date and has a desent sized car park and garden area with lots of seating to enjoy the sun and to relax in and they have a small covered seating area with heaters. Dogs are welcome in the gardens and bar area, not the eatting side though. Very happy to keep going back to this one :) they have small womens &mens toilets and a dissabled toilet to the back, with a ramp at the front doors. An outside covered bit for smokers. The price depends on if you have food and drinks, or just drinks. The staff are grate and quick to serve and sort any issues out. It can get very busy in summer or events that are happening in the area, but dont let that put you off going in.”

“I visited Fothergills based on the location, and also recommendations of TripAdvisor and Google. I was certainly not disappointed. The specials menu on the wall did not disappoint. Fantastic meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location as well, with a view of Nottingham Castle Wall. only pedestrian traffic, calm and quiet.”

“Outstanding service from a super warm reception to paying the bill. Everything was flawless. Party if 4, 3 had the amazing Sunday roast and 1 had the Chicken salad. The Hawkstone cider and lager was superb, just what you need on a hot day! Highly recommended.”

“The Junction is a fabulous and friendly pub serving great food and a variety of great beers. Recently refurbished, the main room and function room look fantastic. The staff are all mega friendly and its always a pleasure to visit. Great menu, this little gem is well worth a visit.”

“What a great place. We are on our way back from Scotland and discovered this gem. The hospitality and service are hard to beat. Despite the late hour, everything we had hoped for was made possible. Individual menus were put together in consultation with Jess and the team. They even asked how the dog would like his steak. We were able to park our campervans at the back of the pub. It's a really great place with a good location right next to a green space. The food was delicious and less greasy than in comparable pubs. Thank you, Jess, for everything. We hope to see you again soon. And a big thank you to the wonderful new bartender (unfortunately, I don't know her name).”
