“Last Saturday ( 27 May ) twenty-nine of us enjoyed a lunch at the Peartree. It was a very happy carefree occasion with very good food and the most attentive and caring service. The staff really put themselves out to ensure we all enjoyed ourselves and they succeeded. The only downside is that some of us will have to diet as the sticky toffee pudding was not as low cal as I kidded myself. Congratulations to a first class team.”

“Had table booked for 7 with it being a Saturday night was seated straightaway By crystal who was very helpful and polite was told it could be 45 minutes to wait for food but got within 30 minutes which was a bonus food was lovely and with 40% of it was a bargain .”

“We ordered Platter for 4 people, and it was absolutely fantastic! The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and every single item tasted fresh and full of authentic flavour. The mix of kebabs, curries, rice, roti, naan, and sides made it a perfect meal to share. The spices were perfectly balanced — rich, aromatic, and comforting without being overwhelming. The meats were tender and well-marinated, and the biryani had that classic, irresistible Pakistani aroma. The naan was soft and fresh, and the chutneys added the perfect finishing touch. “We were here for a wedding. The space was beautifully decorated. It looked gorgeous and rustic, perfect for photos. As vegans we felt pleasantly surprised by the amount of choices available to us. The starters and dessert in particular were nice. Service was great, everyone was attentive and helpful. The musician, Paul Tabor, that was playing was incredible. Overall we’d highly recommend it.”

“Great pub! Because the drinks are reasonable as is the food. Even better if you like to watch Nottingham Forest footy matches on the massive screen! Or other teams matches. I’m not a footy fan, but lots of people are so it’s a great location. There are other areas too, away from the match. Staff do a good job but like a lot of places these days there’s not much human engagement at all - especially if you order online. Very quick online service on a Sunday afternoon.”

“We had a lovely meal here this evening (Dad, Mum, 2 kids 10 & 8). We arrived at 7. The staff let us know that it was busy but the food arrived in good time anyway. The food was excellent. Our son demolished the Halloween Spider Burger whilst our daughter loved the 4oz kids gammon. Our food was great too. A lovely, country feel pub with good food and a kid friendly atmosphere. 5 Stars.”

“I was really pleasantly surprised when I found such a quality restaurant-pub in this small town. This is a good level of establishment for such a place and especially the employees really showed a pleasant level of service. We did not book a table in advance, which does not correspond to their rules, but the restaurant still found a free and cozy place for us. For which we were grateful to them. Also the steak exceeded all expectations. This steak was truly delicious and fantastic in combination with salad and sauce for this meat. The impressions were only positive. I recommend”
