The new team are really great and welcoming. on this occasion we attended 'breakfast with santa' the staff were attentive (they actually did table checks which was noticeably lacking before the recent take over) and the set up for santa was fab. the team made it magical for the kids and it was very well organised! we have visited recently on an evening for food and the service was still constantly good! we popped by the other day (silly without booking) and we coudnt get a table it was so busy! whatever the new management team has implemented - keep it up!

Beautiful venue very warm and welcoming however we ordered food which took over 45 minutes to arrive. The steak and ale pie looked unappealing , very pale , with cheap peas and very small portion. The pie filling was however very tasty The other dish we ordered was surf and turf medium rare, but it was definitely medium well done and again just didn’t look very nice. Was quite dry too. Also very small portion of peas not impressed and won’t come back.

Had table booked for 7 with it being a Saturday night was seated straightaway By crystal who was very helpful and polite was told it could be 45 minutes to wait for food but got within 30 minutes which was a bonus food was lovely and with 40% of it was a bargain .

Opening night after a period of closure for refurbishment. Busy but expected, table for 5 booked & ready on arrival. Greeted by a very friendly host who advised food wait times before seating us (up to an hour but not unexpected on opening night). Ordered food at the bar and again advised by staff the wait times before ordering. Took advantage of a new (or restocked) games shelf to occupy the kids while waiting so the wait for food while accurate, didn’t feel like that long. Food was lovely, hot and fresh despite how busy it was & were good portion sizes. Unexpected offer of kids eat free with an adult every Wednesday so that was a bonus. Childs meals were very good sizes and they tried out the new sundae station which was definitely a hit. We had a great night and would 100% recommend.

Popped in for a impromptu lunch on a Sunday. Big carpark with plenty of outdoor seating and play area for children. Spacious inside with plenty of seating. We were able to get a table with no issues and were served quickly. Food was served quickly and was very tasty. I had the Sunday roast cauliflower tart which I would definitely order again. Prices were reasonable and if I hadn't have been so full, I'd have had desert.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Service was quick and efficient. Prices were competitive, especially with the discount vouchers. The pub itself was clean and tidy though decor (eg chair upholstery) could maybe do with a bit of refurbishment. The meal was good quality and hot. Portion size was alright but not massive. Overall a pleasant experience and will definitely come again.

Very friendly staff. Extensive menu. Food was very good particularly the steak on the mixed grill. Often a smaller piece of steak on a mixed grill is either a bit tough or overdone. The piece I had was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Will definitely return and would recommend.

We visited here for my sister's 40th birthday lunch at the weekend. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!

Booked for a large group for a pre- Christmas meal, and I'm so glad we chose the Kings corner over anywhere else! Wonderful friendly service, and they managed to bring all our food out together (20 meals) all excellent quality, temperature. Really reasonably priced too. The children in the group were all a little over excited, but the staff were kind and patient, and even offered them free balloon modelling and face painting, which was a really lovely surprise. Everyone agreed we couldn't have gone anywhere better! Thank you so much to all the fantastic staff, we were so impressed, and sorry its taken me so long to write a review! Claire

Lovely quiet lunch whilst getting on with some work today. Ultimate southern fried burger was great (and great value, but maybe I’m used to London prices - either way - a win win!) and the portion size left my stuffed. My server Charlotte was smiley, friendly and attentive throughout and made me feel extremely welcome and looked after!
