   nothing bad to say about sherwin! had a lovely time with my brother today, and a lovely man that served me. had partly red hair, very nice man. the food was very good and came a reasonable time after ordering, i recommend :)

   Haven’t been to this once very busy and lovely pub in 3/4 years due to a disappointing meal, but having read a number of positive reviews we thought we’d try it again. 7 of us went, and while most of the meals were nice enough mine was fairly poor to be honest. We were disappointed that we were unable to use the student discount. Which is advertised on the green king website. The starters all came out and to give the team their dues they were absolutely fine and the drinks were all perfectly ok as well. The cheese and bacon beef burger that I ordered came out and was nearly inedible when I tried to eat the underside was black It had shrunk down and was charcoaled on the outside edge. To be honest it looked thrown together and had the smallest bit of bacon on it. Having been for a meal at another pub from a rival chain the previous week where the prices are the same the quality and care taken was not comparable. The amount of fries seemed a bit cheap as well like everyone else’s had been cooked and I got the left overs. I did complain and to be fair to the guy from the kitchen he replaced my meal and put extra fries on to apologise. The second attempt was fine but you do only get a first attempt at a first impression. The pub is in need of investment and maybe it was just a bad night but the bar staff seemed unhappy and the pub looked like it needs a really good clean, I’m glad I could wait to get home to go to the toilet as my partner told me how bad they were. On exit the staff member from the restaurant came out of the rear of the pub smoking cannabis (he did not smell of it when he came to get my meal to re do it however). Needless to say it’ll probably be a long time before we try again. Hope you manage to get this once vibrant pub back on its feet.

   Very busy . Food very good. Varied menu. Staff helpful and friendly. Excepts blue light card for nhs staff discount. Tvs around the room for Birmingham re Sunderland match. Sharing platters amazing and willassist with doggy bags for home when the going gets tough. Blow up snowman greets you ready for the world cup wearing England kit of course Sorry didn't take photos. My bad lol xx Only minor details for perfection. Knife missed out at service. Little more checking up would haVe meant less time waiting which wasn't too long. Would gave been nice if we were asked if we enjoyed the meal at the end. Lass taking order behind the bar very good helped us with the blue card app novices to this. Thank you know we ll be back.

   Good value and nice food. Lots of special offers throughout the week including 2 meals for £10 so good for a cheap mid week treat. Lots of seating and very spacious abs when we went on a Thursday it wasn’t busy at all. Food is what you would expect for a chain pub and kids meals are very good value. Service was a little slow But overall a good visit

   Haven't been here since pre covid. Great to be back in this lovely pub. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the new menu is outstanding! Took down the 32 ounce steak challenge & it was delicious!

   Just returned from having lunch for my friends birthday! They have a wide variety of food on offer at very reasonable prices. The food was delicious and we will definitely be visiting again very soon. Special mention to Debbie and Sherrie who were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
