A Terrible Experience. TL;DR: inaccessible for disabilities; filthy toilets; extremely loud and busy; bad drinks and service On arrival: The accessible entrance was not signposted, and the restaurant was so busy my partner was not able to go inside and ask someone for directions. Therefore, I had to hobble up very crowded, wet stairs on crutches into the restaurant. It turns out the accessible entrance is at the side of the restaurant next to the bins. Lovely! The door isn't electric so someone has to open it for you if you are disabled. When we got inside, it was not obvious where you need to wait to be served. We ended up awkwardly asking a staff member who was walking past. Inside: - Extremely crowded. People at the bar had nowhere to sit so it was nearly impossible to walk around the restaurant. There was a large crowd blocking the door to the accessible toilet, which made it completely inaccessible to someone in a wheelchair. Despite the overcrowding, I could see reservation markers on many tables, which means more people were going to be crammed into the overflowing restaurant. - There was live music on, which is fine, but it was being blared on speakers throughout the entire restaurant. If you don't want to listen to the music, you can't move away from it. If you want to talk to the people at your table, you haven't a chance in hell of hearing them. This restaurant is horrendous for people with Autism or sensory issues. - My partner went to the male toilets and there was sick covering the floor of two cubicles. I used the accessible toilet, which had: a dirty nappy on the side; the red emergency cord clipped away and a flimsy lock. Food and Drink: - When I made my booking, I phoned to ask if the normal menu would be available, or if it would be the Christmas one. I was assured the regular menu would be available. This was not the case, and we were given a smaller, more festive menu. - The drink I ordered had ginger in it, and the drink was not mixed well as my first sip was pure ginger syrup. - Only a manager is allowed to take orders off customers with allergies. As it was a busy Saturday night, this meant we had a longer wait before our order was taken. I appreciate how seriously you take allergies, but it caused a delay with our food. - My partner and I ordered food, but we left before it arrived due to our bad experience. We didn't have much food to choose from as the Christmas menu was being served. Overall, we were bitterly disappointed as this meal was for a special occasion. We have rebooked elsewhere to try and paint over this experience. I seriously suggest that the restaurants review their venue capacity, the customer experience and the accessibility of the restaurant.

We celebrated a special graduation dinner at Botanics in Nottingham with Naina and friends, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional – every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. From starters through to desserts, it was evident that each plate had been crafted with care and creativity. Even the non-alcoholic drinks were outstanding, which was a lovely surprise — thoughtfully created rather than an afterthought, and perfect for those of us not drinking. A huge thank you to Kate, who looked after our table. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful when we were trying to decide what to order. Her recommendations were spot on, and her warm service really added to the occasion. The atmosphere at Botanics is another highlight — stylish, relaxed, and full of character, making it feel really special without being stuffy. It was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Overall, I can’t recommend Botanics highly enough — delicious food, amazing drinks, wonderful people, and a fabulous vibe. We left feeling so well looked after and already can’t wait to return!

We were here for a wedding. The space was beautifully decorated. It looked gorgeous and rustic, perfect for photos. As vegans we felt pleasantly surprised by the amount of choices available to us. The starters and dessert in particular were nice. Service was great, everyone was attentive and helpful. The musician, Paul Tabor, that was playing was incredible. Overall we’d highly recommend it.

We spent mother’s day here tonight and it was incredible. Our server Teonie was brilliant, she was so polite and friendly to us all night and even helped us decide with our desserts. Such a beautiful place too filled with a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Tasty food and great drinks too—we’ll be back!!

I was looking forward to this place and had high expectations as it has been highly recommended, unfortunately my experience was not 5 stars. Interior is great, even toilets are clean and great design. We ordered hanging kebab and it was soso in taste, looked like it was missing pieces and really didn't look like on other photos I have seen before, starter was better than the main but starter was a bit heavy with a lot of potato. Latte was good however dessert combination was a bit too sour (lemon tart and raspberry sorbet), lemon tart looked and tasted more like a cheesecake... It was early and there were no other customers but service was poor, I had to find someone to order our dessert as we waited for a while and no one checked on us. It is an expensive place so I did expect better food and service.

Came here for the first time today for a friend's birthday. The staff were great and the food was incredible. They had live music at the front which was played through the speakers in the restaurant. It was perfect for a Sunday afternoon

Nice place with friendly staff. They have a good selection to cater for all dietary needs such as vegetarians and vegans. I ordered hanging meatball (vegan) kebab which was delicious. The only thing I'd say is I was still left hungry and paid a lot for my food. Overall I would recommend this place and will be back.

Absolutely delicious food. Everyone we went with, loved the mains. We had seabass, hanging kebabs, steaks, vegan burgers and lamb mint pie.

Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings. Halloumi burger wasn’t the best I’d had, but was still nice. Chicken and chorizo kebab could have done with a little bit more chicken. Lovely cocktails and excellent service.
