   This used to be my local many years ago, until I moved away. Called in today and I was terribly disappointed. Hardly anyone in at 1 pm, no atmosphere whatsoever and a lot of very young uninterested staff. Tried ordering via the app only to find it wasn’t working. Then ordered at the bar and waited 30 mins for sausage and mash, which was served in a bowl! Food was warm but certainly not hot. The serving staff never enquired if everything was ok, and seemed put out when I asked for some mustard. During the meal, one of the staff was dragging a (stolen?) Asda basket around the restaurant chucking sauce bottles in it. Obviously to be taken for refilling. Not a very good look at all! Just before we were leaving, a group of about 9 mutants arrived. Varying in age from about 4 to 60. The behaviour was terrible, shouting and running around the pub like it was a playground. The microwave operator who heated up my meal seemed more interested in trying to impress young staff members than cooking good food. Tasteless sausages, a tiny scoop of insipid mash, overcooked peas in a thin, watery gravy. As I said at the beginning, this used to be my local. I will never return!

   The food was absolutely outstanding, the service from the staff was amazing, they were helpful, really friendly, even though they was very busy we had no concerns or complaints at all. not one person in our booking was unhappy with anything at all, I would 100% recommend anyone to go, and especially book in for the festive menu, you will not be disappointed.

   Nice clean environment, pleasant and courteous service. Food was good, service was friendly, grateful we could bring the dog and nice to see others had too. Paid what you would expect. Nice lunch out with the family - very enjoyable.

   Well...after being loyal customers at a time when local businesses certainly need them...I find it very disappointing that the management have very little customer service skills and seems to find being courteous difficult. Hat off to the young waiter though he was very polite and professional. The meal was mediocre. We shall not be returning.

   Came in the other day for a meal with my friends. Food was really good value for money. Had the mega mix grill which was massive. Really happy with the service as well, was served by Shannon behind the bar. Will definitely be returning.

   Nice straight forward food on menu just right for those who aren't adventurous. And lots of more interesting for those who are! Lunchtime two meals for £9.95; we've been, then come again, and yet again - which we haven't done for any other pub so that's a real recommendation from us. Oh, very friendly and efficient staff, big car park too. Try the Bull's Head for yourself!
