“We decided to try out Turtle Bay for the first time today and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere immediately when you walk in is amazing. Loved the music and atmosphere. Jess was our server and she was great. She really made sure we had everything we needed. The food was tasty and everything was nice and fresh. Thanks for a great night!”

“We’ve came for Sunday lunch as a table of 6. The service has been impeccable, very quick with bringing the meats out. All the meats were super tender, especially the minted lamb. However I did love the cinnamon pineapple. All the staff were really polite and friendly. I will definitely be coming back!”

“This place was definitely worth the visit. I had the fish option, my partner had the meat and our 3 year old just had the buffet (free for under 5s anyway). Good range of food, the fish plate( you just get the one plate, then you can choose from the buffet) was really good! And the meat comes round and you say if you want that one or not, my partner said it was some of the best meat he has had! We will be visiting again!!”

“First time visiting here. Absolutely beautiful food, all cooked to everyones taste. A wide range of meats which didn't seem to stop coming to the table! We sampled a few drinks from the cocktail menu which were also really nice. A few had dessert and all the cheesecakes were gorgeous. All the staff were really polite and friendly and were really welcoming. Will definitely be revisiting!”

“Had a lovely visit here- the food was really lovely and the service was excellent. I Had the Steak and Cajun and despite a small issue with my meal, which was sorted as quickly as possible by the wonderful lady serving us- really really enjoyed the food :). The atmosphere is lovely- the pub was pretty full, but we didn't feel like we'd been squeezed in like you do in some pubs. All the staff on sight were polite and very welcoming, I would definitely recommend the Countryman to anybody.”

“Lovely food in a modern yet homely pub restaurant. Clean and friendly, lots of lovely details like small lights on each table. We had the Friday lunch deal which was £15 for a main meal and a drink (including wine or beer) and had the fish tacos. They were light yet filling with a lovely salad and sauce inside, served in a taco holder. The fish was obviously cooked freshly to order. The other options included lasagne and arancini. We then had desserts, a liqueur affogato and a sticky toffee pudding which was served with custard and some fruit on the side. The place was quiet which was surprising given the quality of the food but we could smell the beef brisket cooking for the evening menu which smelled amazing. Service was fantastic, attentive but not overbearing and we were asked how our food was a couple of times. A man I believe was the owner was there alongside the waiting staff and helped take good care of us This place isn't cheap but for delicious home made food with excellent service it is reasonable, our meals came to £23 each including a medium glass of wine with a main course and dessert. Ideal for a date or meal with friends, highly recommended (I forgot to take photos of the main course)”

“I went to the wake of my father-in-law at Darfield Sizzling Grill Bar. There were about 40 plus of us which was an ideal number in the function room. Tea and coffee were provided plus party type food. Alcoholic drinks could be bought as required. It was a lovely event. The venue staff were brilliant. Even as food was eaten and we helped ourselves to hot drinks the staff swept around invisibly clearing up, freshening up the food platters, getting rid of used cups and plates, T bags, and sugar spoons. The food and drink areas were therefore kept immaculate. I could not recommend the Darfield Sizzling Grill Bar enough.”

“I visited Tuesday evening and had a bbq chicken pizza and cookie&brownie desert. Both were full of flavour and were prepared with love, care and passion. The pizzas been made on site with fresh dough it was simply amazing thr best pizza I've had anywhere. I was visiting as part of an organised prepaid meal through my work but would have happily paid for this myself and another visit is definitely on the cards.”

The bar staff were so lovely and friendly and the DJ was brilliant anything that was requested he played as well as his own choice of music, excellent. We always start with the camembert, and honestly, it’s unbeatable. For mains, we can’t resist the chicken burger. It’s consistently amazing. You can tell the kitchen really cares about quality. The service is always outstanding too. The staff are so friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel welcome. Add in the gorgeous atmosphere and it’s just the perfect place to relax and enjoy great food.”
