Recently visited for the first time. Went to the bar to find out where we had to go for the carvery and was left stood there for God knows how long. I was ready to walk out at that point but family had travelled to visit us so didn't want to cause a fuss. Ordered drinks and that was all wrong. Went into the carvery room which was absolutely vile. Mould allover the ceilings, holes in the door where rodents have chewed through the bottom. Asked if we pay first or after and was told afterwards. Went and got the food which admittedly wasnt too bad. We was still finishing off our lunch when the waitress come over for payment. Not once did anyone come to check if everything was ok beforehand. We was overcharged by £10 then the staff was arguing who had rang in the payment. Not very professional. First and last visit

Delicious food. Lovely menu. Prices very reasonable Service was brilliant. Mark goes above and beyond to help. All staff are very helpful. 5 of us went in for my daughters birthday and had a lovely experience. Will definitely be visiting again.

Four of us visited on Sunday for lunch. Great food and service. People were lined up outside waiting for the doors to open, a little gem.

Excellent, we found this place a few months ago and this is our second visit and will be many more to come. Proper pub grub. You have to wait for the food to be cooked but in my mind that's perfect as it means cooked not microwaved. Reasonably priced too.

I called in here for Sunday lunch with my sister whilst house viewing around the corner. Arriving just after noon the place had a steady flow of customers but wasn’t busy. By the time we left, it was really starting to fill up Sunday lunch is your pretty standard carvery with various meats (beef, ham, turkey & pork I think) and all the usual sides including roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, veggies and nice thick gravy There is nothing fancy here just good food and plenty of it. Service was friendly and on the ball and the restaurant room was clean, bright and spacious We left feeling very full and satisfied. Just what you need on a Sunday lunchtime

Just enjoyed a fantastic cheese and streaky bacon burger and fries - all superb. And the chocolate cake served warm with ice cream could not have been better! Strongly recommend this hidden gem.

Came for a carvery with friends and family for my birthday. Carvery was excellent, apart from a few burnt Yorkshire puddings nobody had any complaints. Will definitely be back xx
