“Went for Sunday lunch. I've been meaning to try it out and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef cheeks (special of the day) which were melt in the mouth. The portions are very generous with a separate boat of gravy to go with the mushroom and ale sauce it came with. The service was top notch and the beer (Thornbridge Jaipur) was just the right pint to go with the meal. My partner had the turkey roast with a glass of red which she really enjoyed. We will visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd suggest phoning in advance since we had the choice of getting there in 10 or waiting until after 3 to eat.”

“Extremely generous portions. Beautifully freshly prepared traditional Greek Fayre. I had the Minotaur breakfast and other than being slightly overfaced by the sheer size of my breakfast I absolutely loved it !!! The warm, fresh humous was the best I’ve ever tasted!!!”

“I honestly don’t know where to start! Me and my family have been coming here for years, all celebrations including big functions for my brothers cricket team and it has always been impeccable! My family decided to book for my 21st birthday meal and as a present the Robyn Loxley suite was booked for me and my partner to stay the night. The suite was absolutely beautiful, spacious, unbelievably clean and beautifully decorated. The thought and little details that go into the suite are stunning and anyone debating booking it you will not be disappointed! Onto the food, every time we have eaten here it has always been amazing but last night was absolutely unreal. We had 20+ people in our booking and every single dish came out on time, fresh and absolutely divine! Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely and made my night so so special, I really will remember this night forever. Thank you to John, his family and all the staff!”

“This was my first time eating at Qashqai Kitchen after hearing a lot about the restaurant, and to be honest, it was a great experience. The customer service was 10/10, and the food was amazing — real, pure home-cooked dishes. I don’t know the name of the guy who served us. He was a big, muscular guy who looked quite serious at first, but as soon as you start talking to him, you realize he is such a sweet, humble, and welcoming person. The restaurant was very busy and crowded, yet he still provided excellent service. I absolutely recommend this place. It’s one of those rare restaurants you won’t find anywhere else.”

“We rebooked with firepit after a short staffed day, the management team are brilliant and understanding. Staff were friendly and welcoming, constantly bringing drinks and checking in. Allergies and accessibility requests were accommodated, no questions asked. The bar was reasonably busy with good music. The food was hot and brought quickly. At one point we turned down drinks as we couldn’t keep up. Before we had even sat down our drinks order had been taken. We had multiple well made cocktails, shots and bottles of Prosecco. We did the level 2 bottomless brunch. 100% would return and recommend. Thank you firepit team.”

“We had a midweek lunch which was first class. Local IPA is recommended,generous portions and varied fresh vegetables support an imaginative menu. Tables are well laid out, sensibly spaced And the interior decor is top quality. The staff are well trained and interested in the food. The food and views are excellent,so worth making the trip out especially on a sunny day.”

“Amazing 90 minute bottomless brunch. The food was delicious, great quality, beautifully cooked and presented. Great selection of cocktails. £38 was good value for the level of quality and service. We were looked after by Katie who was brilliant - attentive, friendly and helpful. I hadn't visited the Psalter since it was taken over a couple of years ago. I'd really recommend it for bottomless brunch or food, especially the small plates.”

“An excellent local pub with a community feel…like a Sheffield version of 80s/90s sitcom, “Cheers,” without the awkward eccentric Psychiatrist and lacking a fat American bloke called Norm but where all the staff and regulars know your name. The kegs and casks are carefully selected and as a result don’t hang around long, so rotate regularly. Variety is the spice of life after all. There are also some reasonably priced, good quality bar snacks and the staff might let you sneak in some food from nearby eateries if you’re fiercely loyal and don’t want to lose your seat. The loyalty card scheme ensures you get a freebie after your tenth pint and there are a good range of non-beer beverages for those of a less discerning persuasion.”

“I’ve been visiting The Grind for around three years now, and it’s hands down my favourite spot in Doncaster. The owner and staff are always so welcoming and lovely; nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The prices are really reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of the food. And if you’re into cocktails, you’ll be spoilt for choice; their menu is huge, and every one I’ve tried has been delicious! Highly recommend!”

“first time visit, five of us arrived 1pm on wednesday, the pub almost empty. the menu is comprehensive and sone special offer two meals for £16 and £12. good setvices and the meals we ordered were delicious. the baguette was fresh and soft. meals were in generous portion. they will change ownership in two weeks. hope the new owner keep up the good standards.”

“Went to Barracuda tonight for the first time and it was STUNNING. One of the only places in Mansfield I've known to sell Savaloy which was absolutely delicious. The chips were incredible and very fresh. The servers were also incredibly friendly. I definitely will be coming here again!”

“My wife and I went here on a recommendation, I'll be honest it's not the kind of pub I'd usually choose to go but on the way back home I was thinking maybe my usual place id go to isn't that good. The Black Market upon entering was extremely friendly, Dave behind the bar was lovely we had a talk about the craft beers and a giggle. My wife and I had a three course meal here, I had the Nacho's and my wife the garlic mushrooms, it absolutely wasn't what I was expecting. The Nacho's were for Nacho's amazing, the salsa was so fresh and zingy, my wife's garlic mushrooms were really saucy and garlicy (is that a word?) Big portion too. We then had the fish and chips, I have no problems saying this was one of the best if not the best fish and chips I've ever had (being a Norfolk local) I've had my fair share of good fresh fish and chips, the batter was fresh the cod was succulent and fresh. Was a great atmosphere, service was quick and the waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was phenomenal This is a place in my humble opinion I would class as a hidden gem, I am doubting my usual technique for choosing where to eat, some of the best places I have eaten are buildings I usually would walk straight past whilst thinking god no. The food here is amazing, the atmosphere and locals here were extremely friendly and welcoming. If you're passing or local and wondering should I try it, absolutely do. Next time I am back in this area I definitely will. Nice craft beers too, also worth mentioning. A real credit to the village. 10/10 from me.”

“Interesting place. Saw reviews and excited to visit from Saddleworth. 25 min drive only. Buzzing on arrival. Not clear how to get in restaurant after making reservation. (No meet & greet at the door as mainly bar downstairs. Great atmosphere. Eventually found restaurant check in and went upstairs. Two large parties and a delay in being approached to order drinks worried us but once the waitress arrived it was plain sailing. Waiter, waitress and manager all friendly and couldn't do enough. Will be back to try Kebabs and Burgers. Wine very good for price. Overall great value. Granddaughter enjoyed the adult pepperoni pizza.”

“Fantastic little eatery, our chicken was cooked tender and perfect, great service, I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because it wasn’t busy and was very quiet, but I’m sure in the evenings it would be good. Prices a little higher than other pub/restaurant in the area, but the presentation and food is outstanding. One small dislike was that the aircon was on and it felt a bit cold, But We will be back.”

“So I booked in for the wife's birthday, table for 10 people, The place was buzzing inside and outside. Absolutely packed. The atmosphere was brilliant. The service was fantastic and the food is next level. Absolutely delicious the Ribeye was cooked to perfection. The wait on the mains was an hour but the place was so busy, and we were happy chatting and drinking to notice. The price was cheaper than expected we had meals Puddings and drinks and it was worth every penny. We will definitely be back.”
