Great little bar with uncomfortable seating and good drinking. Small and straightforward. Nice place not to feel overwhelmed which grabbing a drink with a couple of friends with well padded butts.
I only drank wonderful beer. Dog friendly, wonderful antique tables, that used used to sew or loom (?), with a little drawer full of doodles of an itchy pig! Excellent Bar service, low level music if any
An excellent local pub with a community feel…like a Sheffield version of 80s/90s sitcom, “Cheers,” without the awkward eccentric Psychiatrist and lacking a fat American bloke called Norm but where all the staff and regulars know your name. The kegs and casks are carefully selected and as a result don’t hang around long, so rotate regularly. Variety is the spice of life after all. There are also some reasonably priced, good quality bar snacks and the staff might let you sneak in some food from nearby eateries if you’re fiercely loyal and don’t want to lose your seat. The loyalty card scheme ensures you get a freebie after your tenth pint and there are a good range of non-beer beverages for those of a less discerning persuasion.
One of our sons is currently studying at Sheffield University so we've had a few trips to Sheffield already in the last year. The Itchy Pig is our regular 'go to' place because we love the range of ales! Simple! Plus the friendliness of the bar staff. Top rate! We'll be back!
Enjoyed my recent visit to Itchy Pig to catch-up with a friend. Friendly atmosphere and Ted was very accommodating. Enjoyed decor and old treadle sewing machines used as tables. Good selection of quality IPAs and stouts on tap, at reasonable prices. Didn’t try bar snacks on this occasion but intend on coming back again in the future.
CRACKLING little pub, great selection of ales and lovely atmosphere. It may be small but it's not pokey. The guy behind the bar was a lovely fella; keep up the good work Chod!
Fantastic small independent micro pub. Great bar staff. Fantastic selection of keg and cask real/craft ales. The beers regularly change so always guaranteed something new to try. Very friendly. Well kept beer. A little quirky with sewing machines as tables.
Friendly hosts, great selection of ales (obviously!!!) And a fair selection of gins. Great place to unwind after a long day's work. A lot of regulars you'll get to know too. A very warm and inviting atmosphere no matter when you go.
A hidden gem of a bar located in Broomhill. With an intimate, quirky and cozy interior this place is simple but effective. Having a great selection and range of craft beers. Good Gin menu at reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free WiFi is available. All in all well worth another visit.
