   first time visit, five of us arrived 1pm on wednesday, the pub almost empty. the menu is comprehensive and sone special offer two meals for £16 and £12. good setvices and the meals we ordered were delicious. the baguette was fresh and soft. meals were in generous portion. they will change ownership in two weeks. hope the new owner keep up the good standards.

   Our first time out in our motorhome and we couldn't have chosen a better place than this bar and lounge. We phoned first to make sure we could get a space and booked a table. Very friendly and helpful staff. Within a few minutes of us pulling up, the owner was greeting us and informing us the local area where we could stock up or enjoy a beautiful walk. The local area is very well looked after and beautiful. And we enjoyed a lovely walk before we returned for dinner. When we first stepped foot in, we were expecting your standard pub with standard food, however the owner was there to greet us and seated us straight away, he introduced some items off the menu and informed us of the specials. And then gave us space to make our decision after taking our drink order. Which was presented to us very promptly. My husband chose the big daddy burger and I chose the hog roast special, whilst we waited the owner was very attentive to all guess just popping in and out at the most perfect times and then leaving us be whilst we enjoyed our moments. He told us about his history of the place and values and meaning behind the name and it clearly shows in the customer service skills of all who work there. When our dishes arrived it was very well presented and tasted amazing, I even tried my husbands burger and was shocked at how nice and flavoursome it was. ( I'm not a typical fan of burgers, but I was amazed) Foot ball was on the TV, with music in the background but as soon as we all started conversation with each table about the game, he turned the music off or down so we could clearly hear each other and when the game was over and we all returned to our own table he turned the music back on, The owner was constantly adapting the environment to set the perfect mood. After a perfect meal we escaped to the beautiful seating area around back. Definitely the best experience I've ever had eating out. I only hope we can return before the owner leaves, but would also like to return to see if the new owner keeps the magic alive

   Wow, what can I say? Beautifully home cooked food at a fantastic price! Generous portions and orders delivered exactly how you asked for them! A lovely, welcoming friendly place with great staff and landlord. We will definitely be coming back soon!

   So after reading all the great reviews and wondering why this place was fully booked most weekends we finally got round to visiting for lunch today and I'm so glad we did. This place is great! The ambiance if very welcoming and charming.The very friendly and professional staff truly cares about your experience. Food was amazing the steak just melted in your mouth. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely bar and restaurant. We can't wait to return! Thank you Ours Bar & Lounge

   There was a good selection, the food was great quality, hot, and cooked to perfection. The portions are plenty big enough and if you can manage the ex large then well done you! Prices are very reasonable and portion size does not change even on 2 for £10 menu. I'm not a beer drinker but I'm told it was a good pint. The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints at all, we will definitely be returning. You may need to book in advance.
