“Claire’s service in the pub was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome with her warm smile and friendly attitude. She was attentive without being intrusive, always anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. Our drinks were perfectly timed, our food came out just right, and she handled everything with such professionalism and genuine care that it really elevated the whole experience. Claire clearly takes pride in her work, and her positive energy made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find service that feels both effortless and exceptional — she truly went above and beyond. A massive thank you!”
“Really tasty food but please cook your fries a little longer! They've been super pale both times and could be really nice with a bit more colour and crunch. Recommend everything else.”
“We were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across the Olive Grove. At first, we thought they were closed as it looked dark through the windows. When we got inside we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff offering to find us a table and insisting they were open! I think there were two other customers in there, so it was very quiet. (the number of customers is often an indication how good a place is, so I was a little cautious). Anyway, I needn’t have worried. It turned out to be a lovely place to stop for lunch. I suspect as it’s a Bistro and a little tucked away, their evening trade will be their most busy time. The staff were very helpful and the service prompt. The decafe tea was good and the food excellent. I had a platter on a wooded board, with chunks of different types of bread, cheese, olives, salad and cold meats. It was delightful! By the time we walked out I felt I had just sampled a taste of Spain.”

“First Breakfast visit , WOW , what a fantastic welcome from every single member of staff on duty 1/11/25 , we came into contact with including chef , it was very obvious it’s a lovely place to work , everyone presented as enjoying work , very friendly, informative , helpful and engaging , the restaurant was lovely and clean , what a lovely cooked breakfast, I had 2 today , the continental choice was lovely and the choice of drinks available puts any other chain to shame . We will definitely be back and we are letting all our friends know we loved our visit. I do hope we won’t be disappointed in future visits, but somehow I don’t think so , well done everyone”
“Very good pub food. Dog friendly and friendly staff. Plenty of parking near a play area. We met here with family and had a great afternoon.”
“Jay - gave excellent service. A great menu that was well explained. Well worth a visit. It was a quiet Thursday evening, but everything was cooked fresh and piping hot. Jay suggested a new starter called Kastori Chicken, which was chicken in a spicy tomato, chilli sauce - beautiful and again, worth trying. The main I had was a Manchurian - medium spiced and excellent / exactly as described. Joshuary nann was delicious in fact I could have had two, one there and one to take home! Plain white rice was hot and light. While waiting between courses it was clear, that take-out / delivery is a popular with the locals.”
“I've been here a few times now for a takeaway & enjoyed the experience,Its a real plus that this fish & chips shop does provide a very large carpark ,on this occasioni I went for the for a Special- medium fish (cod) ,chips & small side (peas) priced @£9.95 & I did add bread cob (£1).The young female staff member on duty was very pleasant with the service & cash or card payments are accepted. .Waiting time wasn't too long either as only couple of customers before me .OK the fish wasn't the biggest but a very tasty enjoyable meal one again ! I do recommend a visit ,you won't be disappointed”
“The food is absolutely gorgeous, there was barely anyone in (early on a weekday) so we got to choose our table and had quick service. The food was all home cooked really good, not standard pub food at all. Pie was full of meat, gravy was great. The pasta was full of chicken and chorizo, we couldn't finish it all!”
“Fantastic quality food and service. Good portion sizes. Great presentation. Great service. Friendly staff.”
“Had some lovely food tonight, the lay it on chick burger was amazing. Kat and Nicola were really nice and served us quickly. The chef cooked our food really well and we’ll definitely be back.”
